So, I will just say, WOW. Book 7 is a fast action, heart stopping, HOT romance novel that you must read! Ms. Cross grabs you in the first chapter until the last words. She is one of the great authors that will become your 'go to' author when she releases each book. Just WOW - GREAT!I love all of Ms. Cross’s series and the 7th installment to the HRT series is just as fresh as the first. We met Carmela Cruz and Sawyer Vance in book 6 with Ethan Cruz when he found the love of his life, Marisol. Ethan is Carmela’s brother and Sawyer’s best friend. In book 6 we became aware of Carmela (Carm) and Sawyer’s attraction to each other, but, Sawyer knew the rule, you stay away from your friend’s sister. Besides Sawyer loved Mama Cruz like a mother and he was not going to give up his “family” so, he kept his feelings in check.About 1 year ago, he kissed her and both felt something very strong. Sawyer is never going to act on that again because he would not lose his “family”. That all changed when Carm and Mama Cruz went on an Alaskan Cruise and an extremist terrorist took over the ship and even started killing passengers.When the Navy Seal Team 6 and the HRT were sent to take the ship back at all costs, Sawyer and Ethan didn’t know if Carm or Mama Cruz would be alive when it was all over. Each installment can be a stand alone, but, it is more enjoyable if you read them all – it is well worth it.

This is another amazing book in this Hostage Rescue Team with Sawyer finding his love Carmela, his best friend Ethan's sister. He was afraid to follow his heart as he did before and lost everyone that he loved but he had to this time and hope for the best. This story also has the hostage team fighting terrorists that have seized a cruise ship that Carmela and her mother were on and save as many people as possible before the terrorist killed them all. They knew the terrorists were planning something but could not stop them before they executed their horrific plan. The terrorists worked as the security for the cruise ship for months so this was a total surprise assault and well planned out. It was exciting to see all the government agencies working together to bring the passengers to safety and end the terrorists assault before they killed more innocent people. It was a very thrilling story with twists and turns with the HRT coming through at the end along with Navy Seals, and CIA to end the terrorists reign and squelch this terrorist cell. In the end Sawyer and Carmela get their happily ever after and he found his forever family as well which was something he always wanted. I am looking forward to the next book in this series as every book has been amazing.

The HRT series is one of my favorites about amazing characters in romantic military/suspense stories. Each book is about a different character and their journey to finding love and happiness. There is always some sort of crisis where we get front row seats to the action and get to watch these military men and women in action. I love how we are able to read about the same characters we've fallen in love with and get updates on their lives from book to book. We know them and our attachment to them grows. It doesn't hurt that the guys are all these hot and protective badass solders and the women are strong and confident and many associated with the military as well.Seized is about Ethan's sister Carmela, and his best friend and HRT fellow member, Sawyer Vance. It was hinted in the previous book that these two were attracted to each other and we learn that it's Sawyer who's holding back because of his friendship with Ethan. However when Carmela's cruise ship is taken over by terrorists, Sawyer realizes life is too short to be scared.This was another great book is this series. Cannot wait to see who is up next (maybe Adam) and what happens.

I never thought I'd love an HRT book more than Jake's (the first in the series) but I was wrong. Vance and Carm's story has officially taken over the number one spot on my HRT favorites list. There are so many things that make this book the incredible, suspenseful romance it is! Kaylea always keeps me on the edge of my seat with the suspense filled plots of her books and Seized's plot was a doozy! I was thrilled to see more of my favorite characters from previous books, especially Alex Rycroft. And while I won't give spoilers I will tell you that the phone conversation he has at the end of this book made me feel a little teary.The romance element of this story is soooo good. Please don't think this is just another he fell for his best friend's sister story. I promise you, it is a different spin than the typical best friends/sister triangle trope. One of my favorite things about Kaylea's heroines is they are never weak, doormat women and Carm is certainly a strong heroine in this story. Vance is just.....perfect, in my opinion.This can be read as a standalone, but I highly encourage you to snap up all of the HRT books and dive in from the beginning.

Seized was a fast-paced, action packed, heart pounding, suspenseful story. That had great characters, and a wonderful romance, even if Vance is a little slow on the uptake. Not to mention a bit of a shock towards the end, and honestly, I was hooked throughout, and I can't wait to read more.Would definitely recommend, especially if you're a fan of the author, series or romantic suspense in general as you really won't be disappointed.

Kaylea writes strong stories with strong characters. I have loved working my way through the series which has added to my enjoyment. I love the way the characters interact with one another. They are their own mam but as a team they are a force to be reckoned with. They'd die for one another and for the women they love but they are such warriors it's like a non issue. I have to read the story in one go I can't leave them alone, they are like an oasis in a desert and my thirst is never quenched till I'm on the last page Great read great value thoroughly entertained

In this novel there is the emotional dilemma of whether the male should give in the attraction of his best friend's sister. This is another action packed novel with some horrific scenes. It is exciting and leaves the reader wondering what the next shocking turn of events will be. Alongside this is the romantic theme with the male protagonist doing everything possible to save his girl yet still have the backs of his other team members. A wonderful thrilling read.

Another fantastic book in an equally fantastic series!! You cannot go wrong with this author. Honestly what an author, phenomenal reads every single time. Reread these over and over because they are so good you can always find something in there that you missed. Brilliant, enjoy!

Any book that makes me cry is a keeper, and Sawyer and Carmela did just that. An amazing, engrossing read. Amazingly how Kaylea Cross just keeps getting better, and this won't disappoint - read it
