Yo JOE! It's Gung Ho!
There's a lot of reviews of this figure character out there already, and a lot on the"mechanics" of it.I'm not going to go that route....instead, I'll talk about impressions. This figure just screams bad-ass. Snake-Eyes is razor-sharp stealth, Duke is tough and leadership. Scarlet is death-by-freckles............but Gung-Ho is the bull let loose in the china shop. He's the tough guy bruiser of the team ( so far), and although he is as big as Roadblock, Gung-Ho is far more rough-hewn. Like a human tank. One thing--a "controversy"....his "cover". Civilians call it a hat or a cap.........Marines call it a cover. A number of vocal fans have complained that the cover is incorrect, that it needs to have 5 points on the top to be 'regulation".Well, NOTHING about Gung-Ho's get-up is Marine regulation. Not his Fu-Manchu moustache, his Mowhawk hair cut, his uniform, his tats........really nothing.I'm not paying any heed to the noise, so I'm okay with the "hat" as it is. There's a aftermarket source for a "corrected" cap out there is one is so inclined. That all said, this figure is a great update, looks mean and is decked out in a fun way.

My personal favorite of this new series.
Gung Ho was my favorite from the original series and now he is my favorite of the new classified series! The look and details are all top notch and it really captures the essence of the original ARAH character! A great thoughtful mix of military/science fiction aesthetics. The figure is sturdy and the largest of the bunch so far. He comes with three badass weapons that can clip to his backpack. To be honest, I was teetering between four and five stars: reason being is that the grenade launcher type weapon is very hard to get him to hold because of the closed grip. Other than that, the figure is about near perfect.

The best around
Like them or not, the gi joe classified line is the newest and best iteration of the joe team so far. I was worried at first that the size/scale of the 80s style figure was doubled to 6in, but its great and the figures have so much detail and cool accessories! I am buying them all or at least one of every mainline character. i suggest you do the same if you can find them for a good price. One complaint that i notuced is rampant is that a majority of the figures have unpainted guns, this is typical for marvel legends, they must not collect/buy those., Its fine, its a toy after all, if it bothers you that much, learn to paint them, i have done it to mine for less than a few bucks.

Not a bad figure
It's not a bad figure. It's just the first wave figures in GI Joe Classified went way too Futuretech SciFi heroes on the character's. This Gung Ho Just looks wrong. The vest it too much a tech vest with weird plates and gadgets. The guns aren't guns. They look like Childrens toys. Nor do they stay secured on his backpack. His round pillbox type brimmed cap is wrong. It's not the Marine 8 point hat. Even his chest tatoo is wrong. With all that said he is still a decent figure. The Retro Carded version of Gung Ho is much more the figure you expect this one to be. And don't despair there is a way to convert him to something more acceptable. This figure does have good "bones". But his vest can come off. It's soft rubber. Valaverse makes a Gear Pack that will give him a proper turquise vest and a proper 8 point Marine cap. Plus some more realistic alternate weapons. I believe the gear pack with the vest in Blue is a BBTS exclusive. There is also the tan version that comes with Valaverse Action Force Sergeamnt Slaughter. Which has a tan vest and 8 point Marine hat. Besides Sarge never takes off his Smokey the Bear het.

Gung Ho figure
I wasn’t sure about this one at first since it was so different looking from the original character design but I appreciate it now that I have it in hand. He is is a big burly guy to be expected. I like the haircut he has as opposed to the retro card release’s original bald look. A very solid release in my book.

Great figure!
I had high expectations for this figure and it did not disappoint. A great figure and likeness. These new G.I. Joe figures appear to be top-notch quality. Just might be my favorite of the Joe line so far.

Gung Ho gets a Yo Joe from me, I guess
If you like the G.I. Joe Classified figures so far, you’ll love Gung Ho. They’ve certainly toned down the gold but he still has that futuristic army man aesthetic so he doesn’t stand out in a bad way. He does reuse some parts from Roadblock but he pulls it off just fine. He comes with a good amount of accessories and overall I really like the figure. The box did come a bit crushed so MIB collectors, BEWARE!
