Lovely Soft-Grip Handle, Clever Locking Mechanism, Good Reach and Holding Power
I originally bought one of these maybe about 10 years ago or so, and had been using it in my crowded "study/office" for the ultimate laziness of being able to reach my laser printer from my desk to grab print outs, without having to get up!Of course, it had many other uses, until ...... and you might be wondering why I said, "had" rather than "have" ...... two days ago, I picked it up, to retrieve a print, when the trigger suddenly popped out of its housing, dangling on the stainless steel cord that links it two the jaws, while two other bits of plastic fell to the floor!I had the Black Trigger itself, a Red "lock" Button, and a Black plastic dowel. And the rest of the device, now totally out of order! And I spent perhaps 2 hours, trying to figure if I could get these bits back together, and/or was there a missing part - perhaps a spring? Connecting rod? Anything?!Even though I am normally very good at figuring mechanisms, taking them apart, fixing a broken bit, and putting it all back together, this simple combo of three bits of plastic and the "rest", defeated my brain. Maybe I should have tried it before that large glass of Red ...Anyways, I decided to order a new one, but didn't discard my "bits". And the new one arrived yesterday evening. This morning, I unpacked the new one, took one look at the trigger/lock assembly, and thought, "D'oh!".Suddenly it was blindingly obvious how the trigger, lock and dowel could be re-inserted into the rest of the old device. It's like when you get one of those little metal puzzles, and cannot figure how to get the pair of linked "horse shoes" out of the ring that is too small. Until someone shows you, at which poitm you exclaim, "Of Course", and then are never, ever, impressed with that puzzle again. So now, I have not one (the one I am supposed to be reviewing here), but TWO, absolutely excellent grabbers.Highly recommended (you only need one!) - but "Note To Self" - NEXT time I buy something this useful, and this simple - TAKE PHOTOS of the "clever" bits - you never know when they could come in handy and save you £20!No regrets, enjoyed my 24-hours "Puzzle", and delighted now to have TWO of these little beauties! :-)

Useful grabber
A good grabber, very useful. The clip is useful for holding a small torch so I can look for lost items under sofas and cupboards.

Wirk well and seem sturdy, but perhaps a bit heavy.
I have three different models of Helping Hand grabbers. They work well for me, but might be a bit heavy for some users. Owever, on none of them is the advertised magnetic tip even slightly magnetic.

Extremely useful tool.
Brilliant tool. It can pick up very small things, such as a blueberry off the floor, without squashing them. Also can hold heavier items such as cans or packets. Reaches top shelf.I find this grabber really useful.
