Unbearable summers are over
Every year I pondered over getting an air conditioner because the heat and humidity in England is starting to get unbearable at times. The recent heatwave in lockdown and the weather that followed convinced me this is a good time to get one. I saw this Pro Breeze in the deals section and on a whim made a purchase.First thing that strikes you is the size. It's huge. I have a standalone electriq dehumidifier and it's twice as big as that. You have a 150mm exhaust for the air so double the space needed again. It's heavy too! it has to be 15kg+.I live in a bungalow and I wasn't comfortable with taping up any window on the ground floor. I did try it at first because I was impatient and it's a right faff. Let's put it this way, it looks ugly so having it like that would definitely be a temporary (day) thing. So as you can see from the picture I made a 100mm hole in the lounge for a vent. I can remove it to storage when we hit winter and put a cap over the hole. If you're going to spend this much on keeping cool.... Spend a little extra and fit it properly. There is a gentle hum coming from it which changes to a more aggressive one when the chiller kicks in so you couldn't sleep in the same room with it. As mine in the lounge I get the benefit of the cool air and less sound. It's a 12000 BTU and my lounge needs 3500 BTU. (Lounge 5m by 3m) So it's powerful and can change the air temp in multiple rooms. It has WiFi and Alexa compatible. It took me 100 attempts to try and connect it to my phone. When you try it you'll understand but you might be lucky. I wasn't one to give up though and hopefully I can save you some time too.On your phone. Make sure you are connected to WiFi and Bluetooth on.Download the Tuya Smart app and sign in.Click on add device.AutoScan, top right.Add password to modify section.Hold fan button on AirCon and the led begins to flash fast. If it flashes slow hold button again.Place phone on top of unit. (Important)This way took 3 attempts to work but it finally worked when I placed phone on top of unit. The wifi led should end up being constantly on when it's done. Then, you can put your feet up and relax every summer.

Pro Breeze 4-in-1 Portable Air Conditioning Unit 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner
This air cooling conditioner does three things it will cool down your room and also heat your room and all so Demystifying your room The quality of this appliance is very good very well built The weight is quite heavy but Very compact The noise is slightly loud but after a while you get used to the noise but you can turn down the fan to make it that much quieter The hose length I think is long enough easy to fit through a window in around about 30 minutes I would say this appliance is very good value for money for what it does it will cool down your room in minutes it’s very surprising how powerful this machine is I am very happy indeed I would buy again for sure

35kg is not portable in my view
It arrived promptly, it works. It cools the air in our large lounge 4x 7m (13x21ft) quite quickly - provided you install the window exhaust system. Whichever brand you buy you really need to do this to achieve good results, and you need to realise that though the air cools quickly enough with this powerful model, the walls etc and and furnishings will remain warm for a long time, so if you switch off that means the air soon warms up again. If you have a sliding window I would think the provided panel is easy to install and very effective. If, like me you have hinged windows as with any similar products, it is a bit awkward but not too difficult.Forget it being portable between upstairs and down. It weighs over 35k. Near to 3/4 cwt in old money. It does have effective castors so you could move it from room to room. However in common with any other make, you need to :1. Seal any window -more velcro sticky tape needed; not sure how long the join of velcro to fitting would last if you moved it from one window to another, but new kits are easily available2. Position the machine close to the window and an electric socket,Noise. It has three fan speeds on the lowest speed it is still intrusive if you want to listen to music, say. If in a bedroom, it wouldn't stop me from sleeping on the low speed, but it isn't silent. I cannot compare with any other. I am sure the smaller models would be effective in a normal sized bedroom and probably quieter - I don't know. If you plan to use it overnight remember your window will not be secure. It is a good machine but you really need to think where you will use it, in common with any other similar

Efficient noisy, drainage issue, saves money
Energy efficient, heats and cools quickly. I'm used to the noise now but still a bit loud. But as its efficient you don't need it on all the time. Vented via an old gas vent hole with some diy insulation. Gap between unit and vent hole about 20cm. Needed to drill a base level 4cm pipe hole in wall to remove the need for regular drainage from The base drain. Happy now but drainage awakardness would make it an annoyance if you don't provide a permanent drainage fitting. Don't know if similar heat and coolers have similar issues. Update: having used it for 6 months its the most cost effective way to cut energy costs in a small house with rooms radiating of a living room heated by this. Buy this before forking out on an all singing all dancing expensive heat pump system or solar system. But you will need to have a dedicated external vent and drainage. If you can live with 20c year round its perfect. I only have it on for 10min burst every hour or so.
