I recently had my backgrounds stolen so needed a replacement for my pro food photography work. I'd previously bought from hqbackdrops and, while they were great, they took a while to arrive and worked out fairly expensive compared to these. This colour set was pretty much exactly the same patterns and colours as ones I'd had before and could get them in 2 days, at less than half the price, so thoight I would try these. I'll make comparisons to the hqbackdrops ones, where I can remember!Feel: they feel exactly the same as previous ones. Coated paper, so they roll up, but feel like they're not likely to easily tear. They come rolled up and have a bit of "memory" but they are soon tamed by rolling the other way. They will never really go completely flat, but once you have plates on and maybe a couple of things at the corners, it's good enough to not notice.Look: in general the printing is "okay" for a background that isn't going to be studied closely. Most of them are pretty good, but one of the woodgrains (the lighter one) is particularly blurry, but still usable (see pics). The hqbackgrounds were better, from what I remember.Oddity: The strangest thing they have done is print a white barcode "sticker" in the corner (about 30x20mm) thus rendering part of it unusable. On what is a relatively small background to start with, this is rather annoying!Colours: the more mainstream woodgrain and grey/white stone are really versatile. The more wacky orange/white marble and rusty blue metal could come in for something more different. We shall see!I've yet to use these on proper jobs, but here are some phone snaps.

I am so impressed by these backgrounds. They are nice, thick material. I did need to cut them slightly for my photo box. Here are some photos of my first try.As some of the reviews say, they do arrive very tightly wound up. I’m actually going to lay them flat and put some very heavy objects on them to try and flatten them out overnight.Overall I’m absolutely thrilled. I can see it’s really going to elevate my food and Ebay photography. Yes you can cut out your images and put them on a stock image background but if you want it all in camera and quickly this is the way to go.I’m using it with the ‘ESDDI LED Photo Studio Light Box Folding Photography Shooting Tent Kit PKL-D550‘ 24”.I just trimmed off about 1 inch of the length of all of them to make it fit. Then I used very strong Neodymium magnets on either side of the background at the back to hold it up at the back. You can get these off eBay.I think next time I will adjust the exposure on my iPhone too to get a better result. Then fine tune in Photoshop. Or you could use an app if you wanted to edit it further.I think they are great value. Give it a try!

These could be a lot better but the quality of print is just not there and the packaging leaves a lot to be desired as the edges of my backdrops were all crushed once I got it out of the box.

Don't waste your money or Time buying this. The backdrop is completely useless and unusable as it arrives rolled up tightly and then doesn't unroll properly, which is not acceptable nor convenient for photography.
