Fantastic product!
It stays molten for so long it makes removing SMD multi-pin packages so easy. I highly recommend!

This alloy is a de-soldering cheat code!
This low melt alloy changed my life. It's always a pain to remove components from thick multilayer PCBs or SMD components with a simple soldering iron. Usually need the iron cranked up all the way and even then it can be difficult to clear small through hole vias to install new components. I used this alloy to remove a capacitor. I added it to one leg and then about half a second after I added it to the other leg the capacitor fell out of the board. No force applied. The first leg stayed liquid as I heated up the second leg. I was stunned. And when I went to clean up the hole, it wicked up completely almost instantly. I highly recommend this alloy. It made everything so simple. It makes everything so simple it feels like cheating.

If you think this is expensive, try not using it. Be an idiot just like I was.
If you're new to soldering, this is a must have for removing surface mount ICs. I SEVERELY damaged a customer's YSUS board trying to remove a shorted 100 pin TQFP. I had used my Quick 861D a few dozen times at that point, and never needed any Fast Chip. After heating the area for way too long and the IC not releasing, I could smell burning substrate. Then I panicked and used too much leverage. The chip came up bringing about two dozen pads and traces with it. It cost $114.00 to replace the board I destroyed. Plus, I had to tell a paying customer that I ruined their equipment. You learn things in this business everyday, but learn from my mistake instead of making it yourself. I use a little of this on every chip that looks like it might put up a fight and it never fails to do the job. It only takes a small amount and this size tube will last a long time. If you solder as hobby or for business, you need this. It is worth it's weight in gold. It saves you time and money in both short and long term.

Works greast for PCB rework
This stuff work great for the removal of through hole devices or SMD parts that you don't have a hot air attachment of the right size for. Great for PCBA rework. Make sure to have Solder-Wick handy as it does stay on the PCB after the part comes off. I do a lot of prototype work and the Alloy has saved me lots of time and effort changing out components.

Desolde
Works well for desoldering stubborn parts. Flows quick and mixes easily.

Great stuff
Works great. I replace joysticks regularly and I applied some to each pin, heated each pin individually and by the time I melted the last joint, the entire stick box literally fell out because the first joints still didn't harden. Stays liquid for a long time and is very easy to apply with good flux. Just make sure you clean it off the pads after or else you'll have some weak solder joints. Low melt solder is the s&$%!

Cheaper but just as good
I feel like low melt solder used to be a lot more expensive... I bought this thinking it might not provide some of the same advantages to removing sensitive or large heat-soaking components as some of the more expensive product out there, but I was wrong. This is a great value all around. Just make sure to wick it all away when you're done, as it is significantly weaker as a material than normal solder -- by design, of course.

Niet wat ik verwachte.
Ik had er wat anders van verwacht, het ging niet zo makkelijk als verwacht.

It's the real deal
Low melt in name and low melt it does. Quite happy with the solder. I just wish I was better at it lol.

SMD Removal method
This is a very useful tool for removing surface mounted devices (smd). With some solder paste and application of this low melting point solder on top of the solder to be removed, by continuously running the soldering iron along the solder it becomes molten and can be easily removed and saves a lot of time. I prefer this method to desoldering pumps, hot air reworking stations and desoldering braid.

The easiest IC puller
I've been fixing radios for 40 years and when the new surface-mounted components started to immerge it became an issue to remove large IC. I was skeptical at first till I had to remove a 40 pin IC from the radio and I didn't want to brick a customer's radio. I found this alloy that actually works fantastic for large IC removal. For modern day electronics, this is the best it makes it so easy to remove large IC's from a circuit board
