At first, i did not know what to expect. Usually, the paint job on the DnD minis is less than stellar, compared with ones you do yourself, such as Warhammer, etc. However, this set, while it cost 30.00, it gave good value for my money.Figures of the Beholder in previous sets are rare and expensive, being as the title suggests "Icons" of the DnD experience. So the opportunity to own 4 of them in a collector's set was an offer i could not pass up. They vary in shape, color and appearance and seem to be highly detailed and imaginative. Who ever thought there could be so many types of Beholders?!I would highly reccommend these pieces to serious collectors and game-players alike. The detail is there, the stands and figures are solidly made. My only caution is that, while they are harder plastic than normal miniatures, this may in fact make them slightly brittle to larger shock or hits. (A fact i have NOT tried out, by the way). The case is rather ingenious in and of itself and each figure comes with its own collector stat card, so you can use them in an adventure or ranked match!Enjoy and may the game never end!-Richard Carl, JrBA Hist and Art, Masters in Hist.

This product retailed in the stores for $50. Your prices are ripping off your customers, particularly after producing an edition of the game where miniatures "ARE" required to play. Regardless of the blurb indicating otherwise in the books. You should produce affordable miniature sets (orc, skeletons, etc) if you want someone to buy them not randomized over priced garbage. This would be nice set other than the price.

Once I saw that there were 4 Beholders in a box, what was I supposed to do? NOT buy it? Ninja, please! I don't play D & D Minis that much these days, if at all, but this is 4 Beholders in a box! I'm sure I'll find a use for these bad boys soon enough.

Love everything about this set. Mini's look great and I cannot wait to throw some of these at my group. Also they came in 4 days early so can't complain there!
