My favorite BBQ place in Chicago closed down in 2014 after 48 years (Ribs 'n Bibs, 53rd and Dorchester in Hyde Park). I loved their ribs and their sauce. I knew they used some form of Cattlemen's sauce and have been trying to find the exact one ever since they closed. I tried their finished sauces - Kansas City Classic was close but not quite. Now I just received this one, the Smoky base sauce. One taste tells me, at last I have found it! This is the sauce I grew up on, so to speak. I love it.

It arrived as expected, as for value...it was a little steep, but I wanted it. Flavor? well it's not what it used to be, but it was good.

Best bbq sauce ever.
I have been using this sauce for over 50 years. I have never used any other sauce and I am thrilled with the way by ribs and kielbasa come off the grill.

Sweet, tangy, and smoky taste. Cattlemen's is always our favorite and the price point is very fair; much better than local store small bottle prices.
