As others have experienced, my dog does not like these pills. She spits them out with is seriously annoying. I have been breaking one in half and mixing with her breakfast kibble and some water but I don't like the smell on my hands either, so I may freeze them in an ice cube tray with watered down yogurt or watered down yogurt with some peanut butter. I have to give my other dog Benadryl everyday and that is how he's been taking his Benadryl. The I only have to get my hands dirty once a week.I have only noticed a little improvement in this past week but I am hoping that at double the glucosamine, my mature dog will start feeling better. She has a congenital luxating patella (trick knee) that the G4 chews where keeping under control, but the new puppy kept stealing them, or figuring out how to open or destroy the container, then the older dog was going days without her pills while I ordered more. Since neither dog likes these, I don't have to worry about puppy theft anymore. Will update review if I see her getting better. 4 stars because they do cost less for more active ingredients.

The dogs like the big tablets, which is a big plus for me. The reason for 4 stars is the damn label that was slapped right over the dosage area, so I couldn't see how many tabs to give, and it doesn't peel back. That tics me off - of all places to put it!Great ingredients, so I'm sure we will be happy with this product, but please stop putting a label over the label.update: I just bought our 2nd bottle and the tablets are a lot harder. One of my dogs turns her nose up at the whole tablet, so I had been breaking hers into little pieces in her food bowl. I cannot break these new ones. They've changed something and I'm not happy. Maybe I'll have to get out the hammer. Meanwhile still looking for the perfect supplement that all 3 dogs can enjoy.

For the past 3 months, my dog (2 y/o, 60 lb, black lab) has had problems with limping (rear left leg), jumping on the couch (something he normally loves to do), and standing up with minimal effort (at times requires assistance). I took him to the vet, and the DVM told me that I would need to dish out 500 dollars for an x-ray and possibly another 100-2000 dollars for treatment...a cost I could not afford as a student. I tried this supplement as a hail mary and in 1 week, my dog started to exhibit gradual improvements in his mobility and strength. I first noticed that he stood up quicker without assistance and limped a lot less....in fact, just yesterday (day +8 of taking this supplement) he jumped on the couch and slept there!!!! I still observe a limp in his gait, but it definitely much less pronounced and appears to be improving day by day. I am grateful to the developers of this hip/jt supplement and will continue to purchase.

These supplemments are terrific. They are a good size for digestion, even though they're chewable, my dog doesn't seem to have the time. They smell and appear flavorful. Every morning my dog get so happy when its glucosamine time. He loves them. The cost is great. My dog weighs about 85lbs. I usually have to give him 4 huge pills, every day with other brands. At 60 pills a bottle, I usually have to buy two bottles a month. With Furrysmarties, I get one bottle with a quantity of 120 (2 a day for my Zen) for less than the cost of other brands. I'm happy to take time out to write a review for this company as I plan to continue to buy my dogs supplements from Furrysmarties. I am a very satisfied customer.

My dogs will find new and creative ways to not take medicine. I have a 9 year old chocolate lab and an 8 year old hound mix. They're both getting older and having some mild arthritis in their hips. I've tried a few other brands of glucosamine/chondroitin and they all work to some extent. This particular brand seems to work significantly better than most, if not the best. The other nice part is that the dogs will take these tabs without bribery or lathering them in peanut butter. This was my second purchase of these tabs and I'll keep buying as long as they're available.

The two geriatric Samoyeds seem to do well with this product. Misty is getting up easier (her rear legs bother her), and KZ is not wincing when she steps with her right leg (injured in an entaglement with a car when she was a puppy, and now she has arthritis). I'[m grateful for a product that eases their days and lets them enjoy the doggie equivalent of the "golden years". If the rule of seven years to one is true, then they are 98 in human years. As a note, Misty gobbles hers plain, but KZ is fussy and has to have hers encased in peanut butter.

I have three labs. Unfortunately, none of them will touch this. I was previously buying Best Value Glucosamine for Dogs Hip and Joint Supplement with Chondroitin MSM and Vitamin C, 180 Chewable Liver-flavored Tablets and they all took them with zero problems. I guess I'll be switching back to those, and giving these away.I updated my rating to 5 stars because they gave me a refund after 3 months with no hassle.

The product itself was spit across the room by my dog and she wouldn't come near it, so I took advantage of the "No problem guarantee" and returned it. That's not to say that the product is bad. If it works I am sure it's great for the dog. Just be aware that some dogs are going to be too picky to eat them. BUT, the return was taken case of in a quick chat with Amazon. Great service.
