This is a gorgeous basket! Slightly heavier than I anticipated, but otherwise perfect and great quality.

I have bought four different baskets from The Basket Lady now, and I have loved all of them. My huge dirty laundry basket is gorgeous and so sturdy. I bought a previous clean laundry basket, but my cat liked to sleep in it and destroyed it, so I had to throw it away. The second one I bought my kids (who are 3 and 3 and 5) threw around and broke off a handle eventually, so this is my third clean laundry basket. They are just sturdy and good-looking and functional. I will never buy another laundry basket from anybody else. The only improvement I could suggest would be to reinforce the handles somehow, since this is the weak point (based on my children's assault tactics). Maybe internal wire? I have no idea. But overall these baskets are fantastic.

UPDATE: I've now had this basket for nearly two years, which is about how long my cheap plastic baskets held up before breaking and it's still perfect. Seems like it will hold up for years to come and will be the investment basket I was hoping for, gorgeous and sturdy. I just purchased a 2nd one now that I'm confident it will last.This basket is so beautiful. It's a bit heavy, but I can still carry it. I'm hopeful that it will hold up for many years unlike my $12 cheapies from Target.

This is one laundry basket that isn't an eyesore. Easy to remove the bag to empty laundry and easy to put back in. Bag is holding up well so far at around two months. A little pricey but I think I'll have it for a lifetime. I wouldn't want to carry around the basket itself very much. It would be heavy between basket and full laundry load in it.Edit: 5 years later and I still love it and it is in near perfect condition. Even the fabric liner bag hasn’t developed any issues in the seams.

This is a beautifully made, sturdy basket. It looks so nice sitting in our laundry nook, and will likely last a very long time. Drawback is that it's quite large, so you have to turn it sideways to get through doors - but it holds a big load of jeans no problem! Like other reviewers said its a heavier basket - but therein lies the durability. Summarizing - I love the fact that it's not just another piece of throwaway garbage, but it's not a basket for the feint of heart. I don't think I'd buy it again for everyday laundry use. It would be beautiful for blanket storage in the living room! It may get retired to that duty if a better basket for laundry comes along!

It makes a great laundry hamper- though it's rather heavy to actually carry the clothes to the washer. It's sturdy & looks great near fireplace or on patio for pillow & blanket storage.

We all have laundry - it is nice to have this classic basket for clothes! Beautifully constructed - it can also be used as a decorative basket!!!

I was very excited about this basket when I first purchased it. Yet less than a year later one of the handles broke, rendering it useless. If I wanted an overpriced, broken decoration piece, I would have gone for something other than a laundry basket. I expected an item that costs more than 100 dollars to last longer especially since I used it alternatively with another hamper. I guess you don't always get what you pay for.
