A good thwacker for the bench
I needed a cheap thwacker with interchangeable heads for my workstation. This fits the bill perfectly, and it's well balanced. I use it for light hobby work, nothing serious. The heads do tend to loosen up easily, but a dab of blue Loctite took care of that. The only thing that has me scratching my head is that rubber ring around the shaft above the handle. Is there any real purpose?

Not brass. But good for what I need it for.
I like the size and balance of this hammer. I use it for tapping in chucks and small parts in the shop at work. I did notice after cleaning up the mushrooming of the brass end that it is not brass. It's painted more or less to look like brass. The brass end is magnetic and is now rusty since I cleaned it up. Other than that it's good. Make sure you tighten up the ends with some pliers or they will come loose.

Good hammer, minor issues, but still solid.
(EDIT ~2 years after purchase: 'The little hammer that could'. It's helped assemble a few AR receivers. Whacked several stubborn roll pins into submission. Tapped in oodles of well-behaved roll pins, too. It's never marred anything and the brass tip is hard enough for 'serious' work, while still soft enough that it won't damage Al receivers if (God forbid) you make a mistake. Threadlocker (blue only) makes the difference between tips that come loose or a solid & functional tool. As it turns out, my concern RE: its rather small size/weight was unwarranted. You don't need or want a 16oz hammer to work on guns - the little hammer is perfectly sized and has plenty of heft to do gunsmithy stuff. I'd gladly buy the same little hammer all over again.) A very nice little hammer for the cost. It is smaller than I expected, but I didn't perform my due diligence in confirming it's size prior to purchase. It will definitely do the job. Two minor issues: 1). Some people note that the tips can back out, unscrewing from the hammer itself. Blue-colored Loctite or other brands of threadlocker will prevent the unscrewing tips from driving the user nuts. 2). The tips are steel, brass, rubber, and nylon. The rubber and nylon are practically indistinguishable from one another, and are UNLABELED. I am happy w/ it, and look forward to using many times.

Compact Brass Hammer with Versatile Interchangeable Heads
Compact Brass Hammer with Versatile Interchangeable Heads This small brass hammer set turned out to be one of those tools I didn’t realize I needed until I had it. The size is perfect for detail work—compact enough to control easily, yet with enough heft to deliver a solid, precise strike without overdoing it. The real win here is the set of interchangeable heads: brass, nylon, aluminum, and rubber. Each one serves a specific purpose. The brass head delivers weight without marring steel, the nylon and rubber are excellent when I want a softer strike that won’t leave marks, and the aluminum fills that middle ground. Swapping them out is simple and secure. It’s been especially handy for small gunsmithing adjustments, pin work, and delicate DIY projects where a standard hammer would be too aggressive. The handle is comfortable to grip and feels balanced, though it’s not a heavy-duty hammer for major tasks—it’s meant for precision, and it excels in that role. A minor thing to note: like most interchangeable head hammers, the heads can loosen slightly with repeated strikes, so it’s worth checking them from time to time during use. Bottom line: A well-designed, versatile little hammer that shines in gunsmithing, jewelry making, and other precision projects. It’s earned a permanent place on my workbench.

Great for the Price
I was a little suspicious. but figured worth it especially for 4 heads nylon/brass/steel/rubber. Used it yesterday on a M1A trigger group and it's great, perfect size and better deal than the 1 inch headed one Brownells sells. The heads on this one are 5/8" wide, which for me is better. On a new M1A with a stubborn op rod the rubber head is great to have for light tapping too. Head/s can come loose, but just use Teflon tape or blue Loctite (a TINY SMUDGE) which takes care of it. Not sure where/if can get replaceable heads as there was no order form shipped with it so will have to find out. Just REMEMBER - this is NOT a dead blow hammer. Use it for it's intended purpose. This will get plenty of use for all guns/calibers.

Everything came,And 2 paper weights!!
Received in a decent time frame, all the parts on hand as ordered. However even though I am nowhere an experienced armorer I am very good at working with my hands. Can do what's needed and especially with instructions that are available. But have No Idea what 2 round faced hammer heads would have to do with gunsmithing. So have 2 usable heads and 2 for paper weights. So make Absolutely sure what comes in your order. I figured it would be 2 normal heads and a replacement IF they ever were needed.

Perfect size and the brass and Aluminum heads are nice too.
It is exactly as described, I didn't think these tiny little metal headed mini mallets existed. They're perfect for working with restoring more delucate things!
