Juniperus Gold Star Compact Hardy Spreading Evergreen Garden Conifer Shrub (20-30cm (Incl. Pot))

The juniper arrived with only one apparently growing branchlet, the rest was brown. It was planted in the warmth of last November near to other flourishing conifers, and seemed to be holding its own. Come spring when the other conifers were showing growth, the juniper was not, and its only green part had become hard and rigid. It was taken from the garden to see if potting it in a greenhouse would help, but 4 months after planting in the garden, the roots had not developed and it has since died. We are on the south coast with many conifers, some 80ft plus high and others - junipers among them - creeping over the ground, none of which have died, so I have to assume that this juniper was probably affected by drought, and should not have been sent out to a buyer.
