Christmas at America's Landmark Houses Hardcover – November 30, 2015

My mom loves everything Christmas! Sent for her birthday to use as a coffee table book, she couldn’t stop complimenting the pictures and said the stories are interesting as well.

I love beautiful Christmas books for the coffee table the holiday season. I had hoped this had beautiful presentations of landmark homes currently decorated. However, I found most of the pictures to be older pictures and not anything I appreciated for current decorating and design.

It was ok, but now I see why they didn't show pictures. This book was more of a tour guide of homes up north and some background on them. I was hoping for more. On a side note it is a good coffee table book for Christmas time.

Nice book I bought for my spouse as a Christmas gift. Really nice format for people that appreciate great decorating skills.

Nostalgic book of other eras filled with lovely pictures giving way to substantial Christmas decorating ideas to be perused and studied. This book has pictures of older homes, so if you are looking for glitzy, modern ideas, this book is not for you unless you plan to combine old and new. This book is as much about the history of the house, both elaborate and modest, and its occupants, as it is about Christmas decor. It also explains the meaning behind Christmas decorating such as the traditional wreath or having a candle lit by a window. An interest read to enjoy on a quiet winter night by the fire or as a handsome coffee table book.
