They work great. Smooth action, sharp cuts
Title says it all. I'm not a professional, but they work great for me. Good weight and build

I was actually pretty impressed with them for the price
Professional dog groomer here. I ordered these thinners as an "in between" pair to use while my regular thinners were being sharpened. I was actually pretty impressed with them for the price. They came to me very sharp and are nice and lightweight. Yes, these are designed for smaller hands-which I have, so I had no problem with the size. If you have gigantic man hands, they probably won't work for you. Also, these are thinners, not chunkers, so if you are looking to bulk thin massive amounts of hair, look elsewhere. They do work beautifully for work around a dog's face. I believe the reason they are so inexpensive is that they are made of rather soft steel-they will not hold an edge for very long if you're using them every day. However, if you're looking for a pair of in betweens, or a pair for at home grooming of yourself or your own dog, they should probably work for you.

These thinning shears worked great on my short, thick hair!
I have hair with a mind of its' own. I wear it short and despite the fact that every hair is very thin; I have tons of hair and it needs to be thinned out when I have my hair cut every four weeks. I missed my last appointment and my hair stylist, who I've gone to for thirty years (Bless Her!), is on vacation so I am left to make my hair somewhat presentable . I threw away my old thinning shears because I had made a mistake and bought one that had too few teeth and it was chunking my hair. These shears have more teeth and work well on my very fine hair. I hardly ever have to use it between haircuts because my Stylist gives me such a good haircut but under these circumstances, I'm glad I bought these to try. My hair is longer but not as full now and it (and I) will make it until she gets home. I have used many shears over the years, including some very expensive ones I bought from a Beauty Supply store that the hair stylists use. I find these shears to be equal to those in sharpness and ease of use. They probably won't last for twenty years like those did but I wouldn't expect that. Highly recommend these!

Sharp - don't snag hair - cut well.
I cut my own hair and prefer using thinning shears even when cutting a straight line so I wanted a sharp, quality pair that doesn't snag my hair. I also travel a lot and while regular shears are not allowed in a carry on bag, thinning shears are. You can find thinning shears for less, but these are the best priced pair without snagging reviews and I'm very happy with them.

Great Thinning Shears
I bought this item along with the "matching" Equinox Professional Razor Edge Series - Barber Hair Cutting Scissors/Shears(the title continues) for at-home haircuts. Somewhere along the line we lost our cheap pair that came with the buzzer we bought so I was using kitchen scissors. These work much better.Obviously.I've never used another kind of thinning shear so I can't compare these to another brand. However, I found that after watching a few youtube videos these were easy to use to blend layers of hair and to make my fringe ends less blunt. I'm no professional so there's not much else I do with them.Like the other scissors I bought, these are very, very sharp, however it's rather difficult to cut yourself using them unless you are trying to. They are comfortable to use and have a nice weight, they seem to be nice quality. The resistance screw is easy to tighten or loosen depending on what you like, and I'm sure they will last for a long time. The scissors came with nice leather cases, that were of much higher quality than expected. They also came with insertable finger cushions, but those were total crap, to be honest. The pictures make them look like silicone or something, but they're just plastic, and they don't really even fit well. One broke immediately while I was placing it in the finger hole. Don't avoid purchasing for that reason, the scissors themselves are actually really comfortable to use.

Odd black residue between teeth
I have not yet used these, but assume that they work effectively. What I did notice upon opening the package is an odd black residue between the teeth. On the package there is a suggestion to wipe off protective oil before use, but this is not an oil. It is solid and caked quite tightly to the metal. I ended up using a folded over piece of paper and ran it between the tines but have had trouble getting all of the residue off. I may try a stiff brush and soap and water.
