Stormy Kromer The Brimless Cap for Men & Women - Winter Hat Beanie with Pulldown Earband

Let me start by saying I have a huge melon. It's massive. One size does not fit all. And I like my hats. To the point where if I find one I like that fits I'll wear it for years until it's disgustingly dirty. That's where I found myself this year. Momma said to find a new hat. I Googled around and found Stormy Kromer and was overjoyed when I found these great looking hats made in "actual sizes". I bought my Brimless Wool Cap in size 7 7/8 (the largest they sell), and it fits perfectly. I took it out of the package last night and put it on and wore it in the house until I went to bed as it fit so well that I didn't want to take it off. I'm now going to buy a couple more Stormy's on Amazon this morning to start forming a collection.Pros: Made in the USA by hand. Lifetime warranty against workmanship and faulty materials. Insurance policy - If your cap is lost, stolen, or destroyed within three years of the date of purchase they'll replace it at 50% of the current catalog price (no questions asked). You just need to fill out the insurance policy paperwork that came with the hat and send it in.Cons: There are two things I'd change about my brimless hat. I would make it 1/2" shorter so it would fit the top of my head better when pulled down to my ears. I want it to fit like a baseball cap worn backwards without a brim. As it sits, when pulled down behind my ears (not over) there is room between the top of my head and the inside of the cap. It's not a big issue as the cap fits the circumference of my head perfectly. It's not a deal breaker though. It's just on my wish list.The second thing I'd change is that I'd make the brimless hat without the shoelace. I'm not talking about replacing it with the chrome SK badge either. Make the band stitched together instead. I'm going to wear mine with the SK writing (logo) in front and the shoe lace in the back.

I've only been wearing this for a week, and it's warming up so it's season is about over, but so far I love this cap! I shave my head, and most beanies slip off the top of my head unless there's a half day's worth of stubble to keep it in. But this cap stays put, at least in mild activities like driving to work. I haven't had the chance yet to use it for anything like skiing or shoveling the driveway, but so far I'm very happy. My one complaint is that it's a little hard to get on. You pretty much have to pull the earflap up all the way, then put the cap on, and then pull the flaps down. It's pretty much impossible to put on the cap with the flaps down.

This is a well - made, quality cap that fits well and is very easy to carry in your pocket. Just what I was looking for.

Stormy Kromer makes good stuff and this hat/cap is high quality as expected. I like it because it is a bit unique. Great for cold weather.
