White's Woods Black Cherry Bowl Blank (2"X6"X6")

Shipping was fast and the piece of maple is beautiful but the description says 2” x 6” x 6” and the thickness was short by an eighth of an inch. This is unfortunate because for my use I was counting on a 2” thick piece of maple. That being said I’ll make it work but took one star for the discrepancy.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I ordered 2, no cracks, checks or damage. nice straight grain. I saw a few comments about the color....as with most cherry, it is light in color. After you turn, carve or whatever you use it for, it will turn a rich darker color over time. Exposure to the sun will accelerate the color change. I will order this again!

Looks fantastic and cuts well

I’ve seen reviews that are mixed as to the quality of the piece they received. I decided to take that advice with a grain of salt and went for a piece of the Brazilian cherry. It arrived this morning and it’s a very good piece; clean cuts, no dings or damages, and the wood looks ready for me to do something that hopefully turns out good!

Quality blanks at a reasonable price and I didnt have to drive to get them. its a convienance thing and price is about 3 to 5 more then my local wood store but so far the blanks are nice and I have only recieved 1 out of 9 that was not satisfactory side ways cut but they quickly shipped another.
