Waterdrop 15UA Under Sink Water Filter System, 19000 Gallons, 2 Years

I originally purchased my Waterdrop system in June 2023, so I’ve now had experience with both the product and the company for about three years. I’ve had two issues during that time, and both times Waterdrop’s customer service has been excellent. Most recently, Becky helped me with my warranty claim and was fantastic to work with. She responded quickly, made it extremely easy to show what was happening by submitting a short video, and got a replacement taken care of without making me jump through a bunch of hoops. They even replaced an additional filter I had recently purchased for the system. Becky made the entire process quick and painless. Obviously, I’d rather never have an issue with a product, but things fail. What matters to me is whether a company actually stands behind what it sells, and Waterdrop absolutely has in my experience. Both times I’ve needed help, there was no runaround or fighting to get the problem resolved. As for the filter itself, it does exactly what we bought it for. Our water tastes noticeably cleaner, the system is simple and convenient, and we’ve been happy enough with it to keep using it for three years. Most importantly, my wife likes the water — which means I’m happy. Based on my experience with Waterdrop’s customer service, and especially the help I received from Becky, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again.

I have one primary criteria for a water filter: the water coming out the other end needs to taste good. This filter was a smashing success in that regard. The next criteria are ease of filter changes and ease of installation. Changing the filter is dead easy, but I'm not anticipating having to do that for 5 full years. My last house had a 4-stage RO filtration system and changing those filters was a royal pain, involving wrenches, buckets, towels to mop up spills, etc. So, through painful experience, it was one of the things I looked for this time around. I want to be able to change a filter in 3 minutes - not 3 hours. Installation was very easy, too, but because I am using this as an in-line filter for our refrigerator, it did not come with the correct fittings. It assumes you are installing it in the cold water line under your kitchen sink, and those are typically 3/8" compression fittings - which understandably match what is on this unit. A fridge, on the other hand, uses 1/4" compression fittings for its water line (as well as the valve in the wall behind the fridge) and so I had to make a run to my local plumbing store to purchase two adapters - one for the inlet and one for the outlet - for a grand total of $8. I also found that the threaded connection at the water supply valve leaked unless I used the Teflon tape that (thankfully) ships in the box. I torqued everything up and observed it for 30 minutes: no leaks. This is important since it will be behind the fridge where slow leaks wouldn't be obvious until the floor and/or walls were ruined. So, why TWO filters for my fridge? Simple. The one inside my Whirlpool fridge (Everydrop EDRARXD1) is both expensive and it doesn't do a very good job. I had to fire it. Nothing personal. They retail for $60 and need to be replaced every 6 months. So that's $120/year - all for the privilege of bad-tasting water. And, both the water and the ice in my fridge tasted horrible, even with regular filter changes. So, for essentially the same price, I purchased this 5-year filter and put it in-line with the fridge. Now, I have dual filtration: the first is this one and then the one inside the fridge. I figure that the fridge filter will no longer have to do much of anything, since this filter does all the heavy lifting, so I do not plan to change it - it can act as a pass-through piece of pipe for the next 5 years. After installation, I ran the water for 5 minutes as instructed and then had my wife and a guest in our house taste the water. Moment of truth... We all agreed it was pristine. No odor. No taste. Mission accomplished.

A ten minute install for me, including getting my tools out and putting them away. I already have good water (Bremerton WA; reservoir water amazing, well water ok) and was just looking for a bit of "polish". This unit is meeting all of my needs very well. So quick and easy I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Like I said, my water is already good, so this just raises it up. Removes all chlorine aroma and water tastes and smells clean and fresh. I can't speak to longevity yet, but my water is very low in particulates so I don't anticipate any problems. Replacement filters are affordable, and I'll upgrade to their improved cartridge when the time comes. They install and remove with just a quarter turn lock. Very nice. Read the specs to see if it'll meet your needs. I'm very happy with mine.

This product comes with everything to install as a main filter or on a single line. IF you bought a water filter faucet to be installed in addition to the original OR you purchased a Kitchen Faucet WITH Water Filter Faucet, you will need to buy an additional splitter for the cold-water supply valve. Really good choice if you live in a apartment or rental property. Not a install and better than using a pitcher for drinking water. The price and ease of installation makes it easy to remove and take it with you for the next place. The filter is thin and a little tall but fits nicely under the sink. The part that you mount, where the filter installs to, has the ability to lift up and be removed as a complete unit before taking the filter off. That helps to have something under it to catch water when you remove the filter. I purchased a pressure gauge to see when the filter is getting to the end of its life. Ad says 2 years of use, MAX. That depends on many factors but the two easiest is water Use and Quality. Water quality can greatly reduce the life. If you have a well or if the municipality has sediments, mineral deposits, and "other", the life will be far less. If you have the filter in line with the main faucet and dishwasher, more water flow, the more water used, the more the filter is catching. The 10UA is good for 11000 Gallons. The 15UA is good for 19000 Gallons. You can look up water usage on USGS. Can you buy the 10UA and upgrade the filter to 15UA later, yes. The mounts are the same. Water quality is really good; Price point is great; Filter replacement cost is budget friendly.

I've been using the Waterdrop 15UA Under Sink Water Filter System for a few weeks now, and I'm overall quite pleased with it. The water tastes noticeably better, and I appreciate the reduction in chlorine and other contaminants. However, the one downside I've noticed is a significant decrease in water pressure. Pros: Excellent water quality: The filter effectively removes chlorine, sediment, and other impurities, resulting in cleaner, fresher-tasting water. Easy installation: The system is designed for DIY installation, and the included instructions make it straightforward to set up. Long filter life: Each filter cartridge lasts up to 24 months or 16,000 gallons, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Affordable price: Compared to some other under-sink filter systems, the Waterdrop 15UA is a budget-friendly option. Cons: Reduced water pressure: The most noticeable drawback is the decrease in water pressure. While it's still usable, it's definitely a trade-off for cleaner water. Overall: If you're looking for a reliable and affordable under-sink water filter that significantly improves water quality, the Waterdrop 15UA is a good choice. However, be aware that you may experience a decrease in water pressure. Additional Tips: If water pressure is a major concern, you might consider a different type of filter system, such as a reverse osmosis system. Regularly check the filter cartridge and replace it as needed to maintain optimal water flow and filtration. I hope this review is helpful!

Such an easy installation. Ordered a RO system and then realized the hassle it was going to be to install a dedicated outlet for the system so I returned it and got this. Not disappointed at all. This takes way less space and it’s so much easier to install. I seriously think my 8 year old could install this thing with my guidance. Absolutely eliminated the harsh chlorine taste/smell. The water just tastes so much better.

Honestly, this is probably my best purchase on Amazon and trust me, as an Amazon Prime member I order from them constantly!! I am extremely pleased with this Waterdrop filter. It is very easy to install as it connects to your cold water line and voila, super clean and great tasting water from the tap! For years, I was a slave to lugging bottles of water home. I preferred purified water only and bought the 2.5 gallon containers with the tap. With all of the brands of water on supermarket shelves, you’d be surprised how little the selection is when it comes to “purified” vs. “spring” water. This meant I had to go to the local pharmacy because they always carried it. Purified water was essential for me because I received a bone marrow transplant some years ago and spent many weeks in the hospital for the procedure. I am a huge water drinker and the ONLY water offered in the hospital to BM recipients was purified water. Hence, I continued to drink only purified water because of its higher level of purity when compared to spring water. So, basically I’m a water snob lol. While selecting a filter, I was obviously concerned about the quality and taste, but also the possibility of a loss of pressure. I’m happy to report that the Waterdrop filter addressed my concerns and exceeded all my expectations!! I do not have my own well. Instead, my neighborhood has a community well that treats the water and we are all charged based on usage. Still, the taste was awful. Also, it contained a high level of lime scale which clogs up my sprayer heads so I have to use cleaning products to remove it. It is also has a noticeable chlorine odor and taste. With this filter, my water now tastes clean, “nonminerally” and its odor free. The cost savings is huge!! I can’t believe how much money I poured down the drain. Also, there was no loss of pressure. Keep in mind it hooks to your cold water supply. This is fine because who consumes 8 cups of hot water a day anyway? For cooking, I use cold water that gets heated up anyway. My coffee tastes much better. Also, it’s better for my pets! I highly recommend this water filter. It is a great value and saves you a considerable amount of money in the long run! It is more practical than water pitchers that require filter changes. I’ve had it installed for 3 months now with no issues. I’m pretty sure you will feel the same way.

Easy install, even easier start up. Very durable made well in the USA. No leaks filter should last 2 years. Make sure you register the filter for an extra year of warranty coverage. Made of a tough material would definitely recommend. Thank you.

This is very very good and excellent product with zero water waste. It is also value for money. Looks exactly same as what it's shows. Ease to use and install. Product was installed on 29th Dec 2024 after delivered to to home. After installation first 3 days water quality was good and after that colour was bit changed as light yellow. But after few days water quality back to normal very pure and crystal clear. Below shown photo was taken on 24th May 2025 almost after six months. 💯💯💯💯 🆒✅✅✅Quality product.

I know I am late with this review cuz I was searching for the right piping adapter to use with the filter...and now that's done! This is a great value for money filter! From the first turn on, you get great tasting water with no chlorine smell. I wash fruits n veggies without the bother of a filter switch unlike having to turn on and off a tap-fixed filter. The water pressure is good too considering filters reduce direct water pressure. And it's a long-lasting filter too! Worth the buy!
