Monsters Go Night-Night: A Picture Book

My 4 year old grandsons love this authors books. This one is cute, and once they caught on to the joke, they laugh everytime

The children who received this book were developmentally perfect for it. I can't say that the text and illustrations are Caldecott quality, but toddlers find the selections irresistible! The premise of the story is that monsters have night-time routines, much like the readers. When faced with a choice of what monster's will choose for their nightly routine, their choices are ridiculous by human standards. The resulting response from the kids is hilarious. Monsters Go Night-Night is a good choice for little ones who appreciate humor and can stand some hilarity at bedtime.

My two year old loved the hilarity of this book, and quickly caught on to his role as the reader. Which is to guess either correctly or incorrectly about a monster’s favorite things. The answers surprised us both each time, and with more readings I watched as my two year old devised his own strategy...to pick the funniest answer or else to be intentionally wrong, and then act surprised and offended together after we turned the page. This library book became a had-to-have purchase, our memories with this book are just too precious.

This was okay. We are Aaron Zenz fans, and we purchased this for our 2 year old and I think it just confuses her (I'm just waiting to come home to her 'bathing' herself in chocolate pudding.) Maybe when she is older we will really enjoy but for now, she just gets so confused when I ask how Monster brushes his teeth and she points to toothbrush and paste and the correct answer is an Octopus.

I purchased this book for my nephew since it was such a popular book at my school library. Another teacher even said she sometimes has to hide this book from her two year old since it's the only book she wants her to read (over and over again).

Easy to read and my 6 year old son loves this book.

This author will be the next Theo Lesieg (Dr Suess). I love his play on words and the pictures are so fun and cute! So far my 9 month old Grandson likes the Hiccupotomus.

My 2 year old thinks this book is hilarious! So engaging for a toddler and a good pick if you like hearing your toddler giggle. Good for building vocabulary around night time routine too
