Updated: THEY WORK but be patient!!
UPDATED REVIEW: these traps do work!! You can see from my old review that in the first 9 days there was only one gnat stuck to one trap (out of 3 traps). However, just a few days after that, there were tons of gnats stuck to these traps! I have no clue what changed and why they all suddenly started working... but they did! There are still a few pesky gnats flying around but not nearly as many as there would have been. I even put 3 more up (two more in my room and one nearly the kitchen fruit bowl), and they have all caught some. I will add more pics of a couple of traps for comparison. Bottom line: I do recommend these. They worked for me for both plant gnat issues and fruit flies, but it took a full 2 weeks for me to see them work. This also seems to be the cheapest pack/best deal for gnat traps! By the way, the first trap I saw with the lots of gnats was attached to a cup with apple cider vinegar, so that may have helped.Old review: I don’t like to write negative reviews of products, but the company asks for your honest review, and honestly... these have not worked for me at all. I have had these in my room for over a week (9 days), and there are still gnats everywhere. I have put 3 in my bedroom (2 in different plants, 1 on a cup of apple cider vinegar near a plant), and one in hanging in my bathroom. I’m 95% sure that my gnats come from the various potted plants in my room, but ironically the only trap that has caught a gnat is the one hanging in my bathroom where I do not have any plants. In the pic you will see two gnats on one side, and one gnat on the other; the two trapped gnats were ones I caught by hand to test how sticky it was (it is very sticky on both sides). As I was taking pics for this review, noticed the other gnat on the other side- so these traps have caught 1 gnat in nine days. I will leave these traps up in hopes that maybe they will ... start working? I’m not sure why these do not work for me, but I doubt that other more expensive brands have products that are any better. This product is easy to use, and the adhesive is very sticky. I am giving it 2 stars because these traps (I put up 4) have only caught 1 gnat, but at least they have caught one! I will update if they catch any more.

One Year Update: Work Like a Charm!
One Year Update: Yes! I definitely have fewer, to no gnats this year thanks to using these last year.Original review:A co-worker suggested I purchase these to get rid of the tiny gnats that come from house plant's soil. These work great with a couple notes — My pics show that some of the gnat traps have fewer bugs than others. This is normal because some soils propagate more gnats than other soils (due to some nurseries not using sterilized soil). Also, I read that the gnats have a specific lifecycle. For many months you may catch very few bugs. When the larvae mature, the gnats fly out of the soil and, wham, you catch hundreds. I put these in my pots in Spring, and there were only a few flies trapped. In my state, Colorado, the gnats flew in late Summer, then hundreds were trapped.Positive:• Remain very sticky for months.• Cute design does not look horrible in pots.• Easy to use. The traps caught a few fruit flies too, but no houseflies.• No odor, no mess. Just throw out buggy traps and replace with fresh trap.• Non-toxic to humans and pets. The bright yellow color is the attractant.Negative:• The traps are very sticky, they will stick to plants, fingers & anything that comes in contact with them. They may be removed but will definitely tear your plant's leaves. I had one stick to a couple of my fingers. It did not hurt to remove it, but the trap left some sticky residue on my skin. Finally, I use these indoors only. We don't have mosquitos here; but we have butterflies & dragonflies that we don't want trapped. So, I have no idea how effective these are for outdoor insects.I'm also curious if I'll have fewer gnats overall next year. I'll try to update then.

Does what it’s supposed to!
These work great for my plants! For the amount you receive, the cost is amazing! I use these in my snake plants the most. It does what it’s intended to do and is very sticky. Plus they are cute!

Effective but Tricky to Use: Garsum 21 Traps Sticky Houseplant
The Garsum 21 Traps Sticky Houseplant Traps certainly do the job when it comes to catching gnats and other pesky insects, but the user experience leaves something to be desired.Let's start with the positives. These sticky strips are effective at trapping gnats, fruit flies, and other flying insects, helping to keep your indoor plants free from infestations. They do their job well in that regard. However, the process of setting them up can be quite frustrating. The sticky strips are tricky to attach to the included tree-like holder, often getting stuck to fingers in the process. I found myself struggling to unfold and position them without making a mess.To work around this issue, I ended up purchasing popsicle sticks to attach the strips to, which proved to be a more manageable solution. This makeshift method did the trick, but it's not what I expected when purchasing a ready-to-use product.Additionally, disposing of the strips once they've caught a significant number of gnats is another challenge. Removing them without getting sticky residue everywhere can be a messy ordeal.Overall, while the Garsum 21 Traps Sticky Houseplant Traps effectively catch gnats, the cumbersome setup process and difficulty in disposal leave room for improvement. I'd suggest exploring alternative options that offer a more user-friendly experience.
