I hesitated about this purchase. There are cheaper options out there, most of them plastic. I just hate the sound of metal on plastic like nails on a chalkboard. I much prefer ultra smooth ceramic.The bowl is beautiful in form and function. It seems amazingly deep, so no splashing up onto the rim or beyond when you whisk wet ingredients. And, folding in dry ingredients is also less bother. The bowl easily washes up in the sink. But I hesitate to put it in the dishwasher. It would really bother me if the ceramic got those watermarks under the glaze.If you enjoy whipping up a pancakes or muffins on Sunday and hate more plastic dodads in the kitchen, this is a beautiful option.

I love this mixing bowl, not too heavy and easy to handle. I leave it on my counter with the large mixing bowl. I f you are looking for a mixing bowl, this is it!!
