The L145 is specified at 145 C = 293 F. This one is rated for 230 F = 110 C. So no.

Is there a way to modify a bunn cw series to deliver hotter water? mine is only delivering 194f, and the temp control knob inside is cranked.

You could "up the limit switch" with a slightly higher one, but I would look at the thermostat to see if there is an adjustment screw on the side. Usually, giving it a quarter turn counter-clockwise will increase the temperature slightly. You should also look at the heating element to see if there are mineral deposits built up on them. If so, use a commercial coffee brewer cleaner or vinegar soak for a few hours.

Brought coffee maker back to life

Jackpot! This revived my Bunn ‘my cafe’ coffee maker to work properly again. It wasn’t too difficult to install either. Replacing this part immediately resolved for the issue I was having (it wouldn’t heat water for brewing)

Cheap Quick Fix for Busted Coffee Maker

I was able to use this kit to fix my old Zojirushi coffee machine which stopped brewing. Just look up a how to video online. Now my coffee actually tastes hotter than before. I guess the original thermostat was slowly dying and I just did not know it. Update Jan 2021: Replacement lasted for almost 4 years and over 3000 pots of coffee. Not bad for a $5 fix. It started to fail again but I just ordered another one and repeat the fix from 2017.

Works perfectly for other brands of commercial pour over coffee makers!

I bought this for a Silex brand coffee maker with a bad thermal switch. This switch is used to cut off the heating element for the water tank. I needed to bend up the tabs for my coffee machine. It was easily done with a pair of pliers by gently and slowly moving the two brass tabs up to about a 45-degree angle. The machine is back in business. Great price as wel that is offered by Amazon.

Coffee!

Had no hot water and therefore no coffee. Took the top off and found this part one was sparking when I turned the unit on. Ordered, replaced, and now we have hot water and coffee again.

Easy install

So I had a Bunn coffee maker that would not heat the water. After taking it apart and checking all the components, the only thing that didn't work was thermostat limit switch. I ordered one, replaced and it solved the issue and is working great now.

Perfect.

This was super easy to install, good instructions included. Took a total of 2 minutes. (Apparently, this is a new and improved part over the older one.) Water temp is back up to 197°F (right in the "sweet-spot") and my coffee is delicious once again!
