Great stuff. I have used it with paint brushes ...
Great stuff. I have used it with paint brushes on a number of things. Once dry, it is somewhat flexible, but hard as a rock at the same time. I find myself buying more quite often. It flows out great with a paint brush, but I think I may try it with my HVLP spray gun sometime.

I went to great pains prepping the area first
I used it on the rocker panels of a old white pickup. I went to great pains prepping the area first. The POR-15 mixed easy and applied easy with a brush. The stuff seems to be tough as nails. The true test will be this winter--hoping it can stand up to the sand and debris they put on the roads here in Iowa!

Por performance :(
I have used por 15 for many years and have always been happy with the results so when it came time to paint the bumper on my classic truck I decided to use this product I assumed that I would get the same results as the por 15 gloss black and with the 2K I was hoping for a high gloss long lasting finish . I followed the directions to a T however the results were TERRIBLE I tried a foam brush, foam roller, regular paint roller and finally a brush as the directions call for . After each attempt I had to sand down the bumper and reapply the paint . According to the directions " for best results use por 15 rust preventive paint" which I did I searched you tube and the internet for any tips which there were very few . After applying paint with rollers and foam brush there would be texture in the finished product unlike the por 15 gloss black which smooths out and leaves a great glossy finish . I eventually used a brush and applied it somewhat heavy in an attempt to achieve the glossy finish and the paint ended up running and sagging and dripping . So short of applying it with a spray gun I am at a loss as to how one would go about applying this product . 60$ not well spent ,had it been advertised as such I would have never bought it ! BE WARNED THIS PAINT DOES NOT LAY DOWN LIKE THE REGULAR POR 15

Not very forgiving - Endless problems with solvent-pop
Obviously, this is not an inexpensive product.I tried to use it twice on a by-the-book-prep'ed painted surface, under controlled temperature and humidity, and both times I got solvent-pop that is unlike anything I've experienced with any other product. The end result was a surface just riddled with craters that had to be completely sanded back, wrecking the project.I'm not sure if I missed something about the application, but either way, it's not a very forgiving product. I also question the direction that this product is okay to apply with a brush, as I could not get it to wet out\level very well. The product is described as drying in 12 hours. Even keeping the part at 65-80F for 12 hours, it did not cure as hard as I would expect. It seemed to gain some hardness around 18 hours, but even after 30 hours, it was fairly soft.I'm willing to admit I may have missed something, but also: I work with all manner of finishes\coatings on a constant basis and have never had a problem like this.

It took me about three coats to get a good, uniform coat
Forms a very tough, glossy and hard finish. I had trouble getting it to lay out smoothly when I brushed it on. I applied it over POR-15's own self-etching primer, but it didn't want to lay out. Got a lot of fisheyes as if I was spraying it with an oily air line. It took me about three coats to get a good, uniform coat. Maybe it was the humidity (they do warn about that--so don't use it if the humidity is high). Ultimately, I ended up with a nice looking bright white finish (if a little bit thick) on my diving board, and I expect it to last for many years, so I'm pleased with it. Only complaint was that the application was so finicky--more so than other POR-15 products I've used.
