Tecnora Artuso Conical Burr Coffee Grinder TCM 301

Summary: The item arrived damaged and the blades look like they were rusted and old. Maybe I got a defective piece but I am disappointed.I was looking for a good quality burr grinder because I love coffee and spend 10 mins everyday grinding the beans manually using a trusted Hario coffee mill which has worked flawlessly for the last 2 years. I finally decided to go for something more convenient and so I ordered the Tecnora Artuso.I had high expectations and really wanted this to be a good grinder. I wanted to support an Indian company, and also avoid buying an overpriced, expensive, imported grinder that would only run on 110V.When the package arrived the box looked really old. Once opened there was a crack on the top lid, the label was peeling off. The plastics in general seem to be of poor quality. I was willing to overlook all this because this is mostly cosmetic.Next I opened the grinder up as per the instructions in the manual to clean it before using. But as soon as I got to the blades I noticed they look rusted and old. I thought these were supposed to be made of stainless steel! I can't have anything I eat or drink touch something that looks like that. So this grinder is going back.Maybe I got unlucky with a defective piece but I have lots of questions about quality control here.

Built and finish is good, can't say about transparent plastic quality. The machine works only when collection lid is well placed. Yes it's a burr grinder. Have tried thrice to get that espresso grind but failed. I am getting grind compatible to french press but not anywhere to expresso grind and yes my marker was Machting the espresso grind marker. Tried calling tecnora team for guidance but it seems it's closed for the weekend. Let's see if I get a call in future. Will give my feedback after next few days. Amazon prime service still rocks.
