Advanced Statistics in Research: Reading, Understanding, and Writing Up Data Analysis Results

I have bought this book for educating myself in advanced statistics, but I also have learned a lot about the basic statistics' concepts. It was funny when I realised that even my understanding of the concept of statistical significance was inaccurate, while I had always thought that I know it perfectly. This book is written in very simple English and the author provides clear and detailed examples. I guess he has a long experience of teaching, because whenever during the reading I think "Hmm. It is difficult to understand. What is this?", it is followed by the statement not to panic and then the detailed and comprehensive explanation. I had a feeling that the author can read my thoughts:). I wish all textbooks would be written in this way.

I would have liked the print and paper quality to be a bit better though and also the book to have more colourful and beautiful illustrations and graphs.
