The Real Deal with the Polaroid Snap
First of all, this little camera is AMAZING!!!! It has good (enough) quality and much variety and choice in pictures. Before getting the Polaroid Snap, I did LOADS of research before I decided against my other option, a Fujifilm instax mini 70. It’s perfect for me! I had seen bad reviews and was very scared to get it, but finally went for it, and I’m glad I did.For your convenience, here’s the truth: Heads ups, FYIs, advice, and (a few) opinions too.PHOTOS AREN’T PERFECT>>> No photos are perfect. Make sure you know that when you buy the Snap. It’s mostly for fun and not very professional. However, you can always get some very good photos out of it.FIRMWARE UPDATE>>> Get an SD card with the Snap. It will come in handy, especially when you want a casual photo and don’t want to use up paper. Your SD card will allow you to get a firmware update as well. That will fix photobooth mode in most cameras.NO ACCIDENTAL SHOTS>>> The latest firmware won’t let you take a picture with the lens cap on which is REALLY convenient when it comes to saving paper and storage on an SD card.VARIETY>>> The Snap is a fun camera with loads of choices and variety to your pictures. It really makes taking pictures unique and enjoyable.SLEEK DESIGN>>> The Snap is really slim and sleek. It can fit in a shirt pocket and is really easy to hold. It also has a lanyard so you don’t drop it.STICKERS!!!>>> The back of zink paper can be peeled off to reveal a sticky back. Perfect for scrapbooking, your pictures are now stickers!!SELF-ADJUSTING FLASH>>> Unlike the instax mini 8 and 70, the Snap has self adjusting flash. It will turn itself off if you’re in a very BRIGHT area.DON’T WAIT TO OPEN IT>>> The first Polaroid Snap I got broke down (didn’t close when powered down) just like I had read in reviews. I was so sad that it happened to me, but I decided to give it another try. So, I shipped it back for another one. This one works PERFECTLY!! Just don’t wait more than 30 days to open it so Amazon can let you return it… I’ve seen many reviews in which people have said that they didn’t know about the return window. Make sure you check that it works!!Thanks for reading… Hope this helps!!!

LOVE this cam!
I LOVE this camera. I was regretting not getting the newer version at first, trying to be cheap before a vacation, but I do not regret buying the Snap now. The newer version does have a lot more features but this camera is good for basic polaroids with or without the frame and it has some special features like the four frames which i love to use. Some of my photos came out a bit dark due to the fact that you can't control the flash yourself. But other than that I have no complaints! Worth the buy!

Great Instant Print Camera
The Polariod Snap is a great quirky camera for those who aren't really worried about pixel peeping and quality, but want something fun and simple. The camera feels nice in the hands, and the magnetic lens cap is just plain fun to mess with. The view finder feels kind of silly, but I think that's the point.Using the camera is super simple, so simple that I was confused by it. You've got a button to take pictures with, and one to change the color mode. I spent a few minutes trying to find an on button before I just pushed the shutter release button and it came to life. Loading the film is easy, though you have to remember to buy some to go with the camera (there is none included). The Micro SD card slot is kind of tricky, you'll need fingernails or something to push the card in enough to lock in place. To charge the camera, simply connect it to a computer via the included USB cable and... wait. Again, something that wasn't clear was how to know when it's charged. People smarter than I will read the instructions, but without doing so it's not really easy to figure out.Taking pictures is simple enough, point at what you want to take a photo of and push the button. The picture prints out the side, and is also saved on the SD card. The picture quality of the prints is decent, and definitely what I was expecting from this camera. The digital images are the only thing that I was not really impressed by. The image itself is not bad, but the images are not very sharp. When looking at them, it's not so much of a lens softness thing as it is a digital softness. To most this is not going to be noticed, but as a photographer it's something I saw immediately. I guess there was a part of me that expected a little more from such a camera, but seeing as how it's kind of all alone in this world with other Polariod products, it may just be a function of price and function. For about $20 more than a instant-print-only camera, the digital image portion is still worth it.In the end this camera does what it's supposed to do really well, and best of all it doesn't feel like a cheap toy. If you're into pixel peeping or worrying about absolute sharpness and detail, you may just want to stick with a instant-only camera and your new-ish smart phone

Easy Fun Photos
We had so much fun taking photos. They are small enough to fit in your wallet! The grandchildren love them. The camera has three settings, color, black and white and the brownish old style look. It's easy to charge up after whenever you're done with taking photos. You just plug it into your computer. The cord comes with it.

Barely usable
So far this camera has been a complete lemon. My daughter, 12, bought this for herself. She took it to two camps and fought with it at both. The pictures that come out aren't all that great—blurry most of the time and rarely does it look good. The button to press to take the picture became impossible to press. Also the button to switch modes is too easy to press and change color styles.Additionally, we couldn't figure out how to get the microSD card to work. We were not able to retrieve any pictures from it after taking it out of the camera.Overall I would never recommend this model. My biggest regret is we can't get the refund. My daughter was away at camp with the camera during most of the return window. Just got back and we had given up.
