Worked great, was very easy to use i was able to delete hard drives to recycle old laptops great value and compact.

There is a small issue with the PATA to SATA adapter not engaging fully with the 2.5 inch hard drives PATA connection pins. With the help of some tape to hold the adapter in place, I was able to use the adapter to copy files off the PATA hard drive. If your PATA hard drive has shorter pins, you may need a short 44 pin male to female ribbon cable.

Not sure why people think you can install this in their laptops, that's not what it's intended purpose is. Works just fine for what I used it for, a temporary hard drive reader until I got an external reader. IDE is an old form factor, nobody uses them anymore.

It did work but it kept disconnecting in the middle of the of transferring the files I left it for like 5 minutes and my computer said the drive disconnected

The IDE side of this board is much too small to fit a standard 40 pin IDE drive. Misses the last 4 pins no matter how you try to install.Cheaply made and shouldn't be sold.

I'm running through an adapter cable and two hardware adapters, but... I'm reading data!Plug & Pray & Play. No Issues!
