Good original equipment replacement.
Replacement for the failed original valve on my Marathon water heater. Luckily, we discovered the original valve failing before it had a chance to flood our house. Looks like the vacuum relief valve should be replaced every 5-7 years. Nowhere does the owner's manual say this.

Worked great on my 90 gallon heater
Worked great for my 90 gallon Marathon water heater. Had to take this apart as my water heater had a male fitting, this is a male vacuum relief with a female adapter. No big deal, fixed my leak fast.

No way to pipe overflow to outside of house in case of valve failure
This is same old way of doing things. Just a different form factor of what failed and caused $16,000 of water damage to my home. Come on guys let's use your heads and come up with another way to do things. Provide a valve that can be vented to the outside, instead of dumping the water inside the house. Had no choice but to install it due to ordinances and voiding warranties. Thanks politicians, bureaucrats, and industry.
