I've German Shepherd's for almost 12 years and one of the challenges (with any dog I guess) is dealing with their requirement to dig... everywhere and everything in the garden. So, I came across these and read the reviews and thought I'd give them a try. They are perfect. Not only are they not harmful, they are very effective as a deterrent. So, I've put them everywhere else she might have resorted to - no more digging. She hasn't dug anyway at all because she can't. She is much more occupied with her ball now as a result. An added bonus is that on those very rare occasions we had the odd fox in the garden once they knew the dog was inside for the night, we don't have those anymore either.

A bit smaller than it looks in the pictures, only 15cm wide so will take a lot to cover areas on the garden verges. Also very curly so needs pegging down and the ones moulded into the roll that needs removing aren’t big enough for the job. Given four stars in the hope this works, will update in due course.

Doesnt work sadly. Put this down, the narrow cat spikes on fence, 3 pots garlic powder, balloons, cat repellent spray, sheets of foil, cat plants, cat sensors with high pitch and all failed! Last week had enough after clearing one and half bags of poo, electric fence put up as deterrent (they sense the voltage) and stapled chicken wire to fence to ensure no gaps under bottom wire and for first time in 8 years havent got any cat poo. ps neighbour has 13 cats. Good luck!

Certainly has done the job keeping cats out of my flower beds

This is the only way to stop foxes and cats digging. Camouflaged well in soil.
