Keeps camera dry
We bought this case for a whitewater rafting trip, to take pictures and/or short video clips with a regular digital camera.Pros:- It keeps the camera dry through the entire rafting trip (with frequent splashings).- The pictures & video clips came out decent. Note: There is a very slight reduction in light and sharpness of pictures and video clips, but it's a good option which enables us to use our regular digital camera (instead of purchasing an expensive waterproof camera).- The design of the case (one side is flat instead of all 4 sides coming to a seam) makes the case more roomy, and allows for a larger/thicker camera. The camera that we used with this case is 4.25" X 2.75" X 1.75" (2.75" thick when turned on and the lens extends out).Cons:- The case appears to be somewhat easily scratched, especially at the spot where we turn the camera on/off during our rafting trip.- The plastic made it a little more difficult to see images on the screen in a sunny day.- The lanyard was not very comfortable to wear (a softer lanyard would have been better).- The case should have come in better packaging -- when we received it from Amazon, there was no protective packaging to prevent scratches, etc. during storage and shipping. In fact, it had a couple of minor scratches when we received it. It would have been great if the case had come in a plastic packaging to prevent these scratches.Summary: The case keeps the camera dry during our rafting trip, and the pictures & video clips came out okay. Because it is somewhat easily scratched, however, it does not appear to be a long-lasting product (i.e., if the scratches begin to interfere with the clarity of the plastic).

Worked as advertised!
I bought this bag to protect my camera on a white water rafting trip in the Grand Canyon. It served well. My Canon Powershot 530 fit easily. I placed the camera in the bag upside down so the controls were at the bottom of the bag, which is wider than the top because of the pleat. That is, the bottom of the bag is actually flat, maybe an inch or so from front to back. I was able to turn the camera on and off, and switch from photos to video with the settings dial, all with the bag sealed. The clear bag material is very soft, so it's pliable, which is good because it made the controls easy to manipulate. The small downside is that it's easily scratched, for the same reason. So you have to be somewhat careful with it and try to keep it away from anything that will abrade it. But it was worth the cost even if for just the one trip.

Great for small stuff
I got this originally to hold my camera while kayaking. I wanted to be able to take pictures while it was in the bag, but if you have a camera that has a zoom lens that extends at all when you turn the camera on, the camera will think the lens is malfunctioning/obstructed when it hits the plastic case and won't work. You could probably get it to work with some maneuvering in the bag, but to me it was just easier to put my cell phone in the bag instead and use it to take pics. Other than a few foggy pics and water droplets on the bag, it worked great most of the time! The case itself is definitely watertight and the neck strap is nice. I think next time I'll just buy a more fitted case of the same brand to fit my cell phone, as this case was big on it (a Samsung Galaxy S3).

Good Product for our Needs
I bought this product to use when I take my family to the water park. I hate having to rent a locker but I need a place to keep our small valuables while we swim. This product has worked for me. My cell phone, our season passes, some cash, and a few other odds and ends fit in it nicely. (I have not used it for my camera yet but can't see why it wouldn't work just fine.) It has so far kept everything dry while I float around in a tube and even when I swim (although it is not always ideal to have it hanging around my neck).I bought one for my husband also, and he says that it came open while he was using it. But I think that he did not close it properly. I have never had that happen with mine.

Keeps camera 100% dry & safe!
We used this for snorkeling & tubing down a river. It does NOT leak at all & keeps your camera 100% dry. We swaped out the leash for the one that came on the alligator wallet (same manufacturer) cause it has a sliding thing that you can tighten up, allowing you to hang around your neck & not float off. I will say though that none of the picks we took under water while snorkeling came out. It's very difficult to see the screen on your camera to aim for the pic because the pak it like a bubble w/ light reflecting off it. To take under water pic's you really need a waterproof camera. This did work great though for our tubing excursion where you are taking pic's out of the water. It's a great product for "above" water use. :)

Much cheaper than a bespoke waterproof case, with some tradeoffs
Custom-built waterproof card cases cost as much if not more than the camera itself. Waterproof/shock proof cameras aren't cheap either. This case seemed like a good tradeoff of cost vs. function when I wanted to be able to take pictures while on a tubing trip. I used this with my Canon SD1000, which is relatively small camera. The pleated bag gave plenty of room for the lens to extend, but it did take some adjustment and folding over of the case to get it to conform around the camera in order to take a picture. The waterproofness of the case is absolutely as advertised. I wore it around my neck and had no problems with leakage despite splashing and swimming around quite a bit. Great way to turn your regular camera into a waterproof camera for just a few bucks.

Not for under water shots
Bought it for vacation use to Hawaii since my last camera got water damaged @ the beach. Great for taking pictures by the beach and pool and not having to worry about splashes or even falling in the water.Pros:It keeps the camera dry.CheapCons:Cannot use flash with it, so under water shots are pretty useless. Shots in the pool looks ok due to clear water and lot more light bouncing off the bottom of the pool.Bag is rubbery, so getting the camera in and out of it is not easy.
