great for beginners who also watched some vids!
Oh my gosh am I happy I searched youtube for good kits. First of all the light is AMAZING. I dont own any other light but oh man is this one great. I use a dual form and get it nice enough on my nail then put my nail in for like 1 second. That sets the top enough to stay in place when i smooth the bottom around my nail. This way I dont get the bottom nice then see the top pulling away from my nail or something. It cures the bottom a tiny bit but ill take having to file it down. I usually do a thin layer first then use that as a base for more gel, putting it directly where more is needed then putting a form back on top to smooth is perfectly. I still have to file some places but its sooo much faster than trying to use a paper form since im completely new to gel anything. There's plenty of slip if you're like me and kinda just smash the gel into place. Its fluid enough that it will smooth itself out, not self level much but amooth enough to push around into place more. When I did use more slip I noticed the gel was kinda thin, like I diluted it with slip. The brush isn't as firm as I'd like but its still very useful imo. You'll probably want a efile. Howeverrrr try a tool store first to see if there's a sale. Im using my moms Dremel 3000 with the included bits ( its hard with the bits but workable). I saw some files that only take 1 size or you have to pull n push the bits out (lots of complaints about bits breaking in the machine). I think I'll just stick to using the dremel and but some proper nail bits for it. I wouldn't trust any file I can't use different sizes or ya know, not end up with a broken bit ruining the machine (the dremel one twists open and takes different sizes) only drawback is its sorta bulky and heavy. But anyway with a proper file you won't have to worry about soaking off gel for what felt like hoursss (i forgot about the file and tried to soak off a failed nail, it was super bulky and hand filling was driving me mad)The gel itself is pretty strong. I have the tips of my nails what I thought would be a bit too thin but they haven't broken yet! I was helping tear down a shed and lost my grip on a board and if it were my natural nails they would have broke for sure but they weren't even chipped! OH you MUST use something to wipe off your nails, get the shine off with a hand file and USE THE BASE COAT and do NOT wipe off the stickiness of the base coat. I had 1 nails peel off because I didn't use a base coat but ONLY that one did it right away. I do plan on buying other gels to see if any are better but I WILL buy more of this brands. The extra design things are very cute but I've only tried the gold foil. The glitter and stuff isn't my thing but theyre a nice size and did work on a test nail. The butterflies were so cute but kinda annoying putting on. And the gems ill never use cuz their bulky but to me all gems are bulky and would just get pulled off my nails.I'll update how long it takes for one to break or peel off or something but im extra hard on my nails some days and don't use gloves to do dishes (no dishwasher) so I expect to get a week max out of these.Oh yea buy some gel polish if u dont have any. Its pretty nice putting down base coat, gel polish, base coat for the sake of knowing when to stop drilling the gel off your nail incase you mess up. I did for one nail to see if it'd effect the life of em. Will let yall know how it goes.

Do your own nails! Save money!
You guys, I could not find a nail tech I liked after I moved. So I just didn't get them done. Then this pandemic happened and a lot of savvy women started trying out doing their own maintenance, I saw a video of someone doing polygel nails for themselves and I thought, okay I can at least try that. Y'all, I TOTALLY CAN DO IT! This is the kit I bought and the pictures are my 1st set. The simplicity is amazing. The forms I didn't really use but the included forms were okay for me, I just used my e file to get them to the right fit. The lamp is amazing and full sized! I love the options on it and the memory auto start! It sets a timer to match your last 2 previous choices! The polygel was smooth to apply. The slip was not all that great, I felt it was a weird gel/oil mix that felt messy. I used alcohol as a slip solution instead and worked much better. The top coats are great, I especially loved that they included a matte one which I used for most of my nails, it's been about 5 days so far since I applied my set and the matte top coat is still matte! The shiny top coat is also good, I used it on my accent nail! Overall the price is amazing for everything you get in the kit!! Highly recommend! It's so easy, great quality, and fun to really be able to create your own look!It has everything you need to start including gems/glitters but if you want to continue doing your own, get a few extras: alcohol (as a slip solution), gel polish, an e-file, cuticle pusher and trimmer, cuticle oil, an extra polygel brush (or a few) - I bought the BabeNail Nail drill set ($15.99) which came with the bits, the e-file in rosegold, and a little brush to get dust off my nails.- extra brushes came from Beetles, just go to their main page and there is brush sets to buy there. I got a set of I think 7 brushes for around $8 in various sizes in case I need more or want to make my nails longer as I sculp the polygel.-I got modelones black polish/cat eye polish in a purple for $10 for both and it came with a magnet stick as well.Hope this helps!

Great value for the price, but not quite perfect
Overall I really like this kit. The gels work well, the included light is really nifty (it's motion activated so you aren't fumbling with buttons with wet nails), and there are a lot of included extras like rhinestones and glitters. The reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the kit is missing a crucial element (well, 2 actually) that they should have included, even if it meant having to sacrifice some of the extra "pretties".You really, REALLY need to invest in both a dehydrator and a bonder to use in conjunction with these gels. I had some already from another kit. Unfortunately, my boyfriend kept texting and distracting me as I was working on my nails, and I forgot to use the bonder on one hand. That hand lost ALL FIVE nails within less than 12 hours.I didn't even do anything that would be any kind of hard on them; they just fell off left and right. The hand I did use bonder on has been fine, and after re-doing the failed hand with bonder, I've not had any further issues with lift or loss of nails, and it's been 4 or 5 days.I've never used nail forms before and they're really nifty. This kit has a nice natural (flat) option that forms to my nails really well. I did struggle a bit with the gel oozing all over, but found if I use the included sticker forms and then set the plastic nail form on top of that, it creates a nice barrier to keep the gel from oozing down under my real nails and making them grossly thick. This saves a ton of cleanup time as well, so win-win. With practice I will hopefully figure out how much gel to use to avoid all that, but wanted to share this trick in case it helps anyone else having the same troubles. :)

10/10 - love this kit
This kit is awesome! I'm a complete beginner to polygel, and I got the hang of it right away! Not to mention, the results are amazing. This polygel is super durable, but definitely has more flex then acrylic. Super easy, super fun, and great results! I would reccomend this kit to anyone who wants to start doing their own nails.

Lamp didn’t work
The lamp didn’t last long enough to do one hand. It would shut off a then come on again and keep repeating that. One time it would light up the 60 sec button then go off then light up the 30 sec button. And so on. Customer service refunded my money and said it was probably a manufacturers defect.I think it over heated.

Cute but time consuming for beginners.
My first time doing extensions by myself. It took me 4-5 hours for one hand as I don’t always get extensions. It takes practice I guess but I love it. We will have to see how long it last. You need patience and time to do it. Dont rush.

I don't suggest for anyone to buy it.
I just received my package and looked through it and for some reason the nail file is used, brush is used and is just faulty, the dual forms are flimsy and cheap, the products come as "mini", even the led light lamp is chipped and has a scratch. I just don't feel like all the items are worth $160 which I paid for. Paid a lot of money for the shipping and it came after a month. I'm just really disappointed with my experience. I'm sending it back.
