I bought this because it's natural. The smell is OK. The lather is advertised to be rich, but I can say it's definitely NOT rich, it's about the same consistency as the lather from regular bath soap. As a matter of fact, this product has the same ingredients as their shampoo bars, with the exception of maybe one ingredient that's different.It is very easy to use because the product comes out as a lather when you pump it out. I use about 3 pumps to get a nice shave, which it does turn out pretty smooth. At $13, it's fairly pricey, but again, I got it because it's natural, and I don't like seeing so many chemicals in shaving products these days... ingredient names that I have a hard time reading and pronouncing. Will I buy this product again ? Maybe.

I never write reviews but I just had to with this "product". My wife bought it as a small Xmas gift for me. I am now calling it a gag gift. To start, this is not a shaving product. It is a thin gruel of foul smelling, water-based soap in a pump bottle that immediately ran off my face similar to hand soap on my face the two times I tried to use it. I believe that shaving cream/foam is supposed to adhere to your skin until you begin to shave. They use the word aerosol in the description so I was suspicious about it immediately since it is not aerosolized and it did arrive leaking in the pump bottle as another review stated.It also states that it contains no fewer than 7 different oils in it including olive, coconut, castor, safflower, hemp, almond, and rose oils. Yeah right. If it has any oil at all in it then the product has been diluted a billion fold. I can't believe that people that actually shave are being so nice about this crap in some reviews. This is a total rip off, do not purchase.

I used an Alba Botanica light shave foam product for years, but they discontinued manufacturing it. After an extensive search, I discovered J.R. Liggett's shave foam. Truthfully, I figured I wouldn't like it as much as I liked the Alba Botanica shave foam. But I was mistaken. The J.R. Liggett's shave foam is gentle on the skin and has a mild scent. Because it is very light, you can actually see the areas you're shaving. No more nicks ! And it's easy to sculpt around a mustache or beard line. It is the perfect replacement for what I used to use.

Good product I have been using for years, but on the last two bottles the pump simply stopped working about halfway through. No idea why, I tried washing it out with water but no dice. It stops foaming and just trickles a few drops if that. Nothing seems to fix it. Anyone else having this problem? Disappointing as it makes for a soothing shave, but if I have to waste half the bottle just using what's left as a body wash soap there's no point buying it anymore. They need to improve the nozzles, especially for the price. I will mention that the Liggett's shampoo bars have been a favorite of mine for over a decade so I will continue to purchase those. Liggetts, if you read these, hope you can make improvements. : ) FYI to Amazon and all reading it, this review was posted in 2022 not 2013 so no idea why the date is incorrect.

It is SO SO hard to find an all natural foam shave. This is the best. And good value. JR Liggets, you should put "All Natural" in the title of the product so more people can find it.

FIRST ever review of anything bought on Amazon.Wanted a more organic shave lotion. Tried Brickell and some other shave creams but didn't like the ingrowns. This foam is perfect. Best out there to be used with gillette pro glides. One pass on your face with your blade is all you need and you only need a little bit. This will last atleast a year. Wish they made a travel size as well. Excellent Excellent product

I was worried this wouldn't work well, however it has worked great and the price is not bad. It does not smell bad, but does not smell great. I am sure that is because of the lack of artificial scents.

No idea what “sheerness” means. Liggett’s is non aerosol saponified oils that softens whiskers and smells clean. Used it for years.
