Easy to install on my Fender Strat. Just filed down the center tab for the vintage necks and then sanded it down to my desired height. Didn't really need much removed at all if any. You can place the smooth side of some sandpaper on your fret board to sand it and keep the curve. I didn't even glue mine in, it fit very snugly in the slot. Seems like I get more sustain and more ring out of open string notes, especially the G.

I remember when these were $10 a few years ago. Sure, you can go to a tech and have them make a nut for you for $40. That's why I bought this nut. The good news is, it was an easy install. Sand it to fit the slot. File the slots to the correct depth. Start Jamming

I recently purchased a Stratocaster Standard and was bummed to realize the G-string sounded way off. After research i learned alot of others had the similar issue with the Fender. I never keep factory strings and with that and truss rod adjustment and intonation still only that one string continued to sound off. I did more reasearch to learn about Graph Tech Tusq Nuts. I installed it today and all issues with that one string are gone and it sounds amazing. A little bit of knowledge about your guitar and some patience filing its worth the upgrade
