This was a required reading book for my son who is entering the 3rd grade. It has about 31 chapters and is 213 pages longs. He was a little upset at how long it was (he is 8 and wanted to read something much shorter) but the content was fun. I love reading and want to instill that same love for books in my children, without them being discouraged about the length of books. We broke up the reading into chapters of 5 and within a week he is done with the book.
