Q: The two cutting edges do not meet, only the tip. I ordered another and its the same. Is this a design flaw?

NO! Not a design flaw. Look at the 3rd photo down to the left of the title. "HAIRLINE GAP: Hold the nipper under a light. The hairline gap between the blades is a very important feature that allows for gradual cutting without crushing and damage to the nipper. This is only possible with precise hand sharpening." This is appreciated and makes total sense to me, but I can see how some might not prefer it for their own working style.

Q: What type of warranty does this come with? I'm all for high carbon steel but even some are no good.

You know, I've never needed to use the warranty and it has been at least 6 years! And they don't feel like they will ever need to be repaired, either. These scissors are really solid feeling, unlike the cheap, dime-store bought variety. They are a precision-made tool and don't use cheap materials. I am very happy I made this buy and if I ever need another pair, which is not very likely at this point, I will buy them again.

Q: I purchased this a year ago for my wife. the spring clip broke two weeks ago. is there a warranty? how do i make a claim?

It is funny I should get this request now. Mine also broke some weeks ago. But, sorry, I don't know anything about the warranty. If there is one, it must be explained somewhere.
