Bird feed frenzy
I guess the 40 or so starlings and a dozen sparrows this food attracted are proof, if needed, that the birds really do like this product. It’s an amazing feed for breeding season. Unfortunately I can’t afford this all year-round, as it gets eaten at the rate of one tub every two weeks, but I’ll definitely buy this again early spring next year.

Birds love it
Great value for money, we have loads of starlings that swarm it, they can’t get enough of it.

Keep big birds away from your suet feeders!!!
I have all sorts of bird food and feeders in my garden and I use these suet sprinkles for a specific purpose. When the bigger birds like magpies, jackdaws and crows are about, mostly in spring and winter, they strip the hanging feeders of most of the food I leave out for the smaller birds. After quite a bit of trial and error I have found that these suet sprinkles, when used together with a specific feeder, will prevent larger birds getting your suet (if that is your wish). If you use these suet sprinkles (which are much smaller than normal suet pellets) with a "Nature's Feast All Seasons Sunflower Heart Feeder" also available from Amazon, all the small birds including woodpeckers can get the suet sprinkles quite easily. However, none of the larger birds can get at them because the holes are so small and the mesh feeder is well made. You could add sunflower hearts to the suet sprinkles to have a popular "mix" if you wanted to. I use this mix and get finches which will not eat suet but adore sunflower hearts. These sprinkles have insects in them which is better than so called fruit suet which is not much more than coloured flour. Another reason I like these suet sprinkles is that you only need to fill the feeder half as many times as suet pellets because the sprinkles are so small and you can fit twice as many in the feeder. Finally, I prefer to buy bird food when the profits go to the RSPB to help them continue the fight for the well being of our beautiful birds.

The birds certainly like it!
I've been disappointed in the past by some other brands of bird sprinkles, even in winter weather the birds take a couple of sprinkles and don't feed very much from the dispenser. The RSPB product seems to be a big hit with them even in "Summer" weather.

Poor packaging
The birds love the sprinkles but the container was split badly. I think because there was another tub of birdseed in the box and they clashed due to lack of padding.Luckily I had an empty one to transfer the sprinkles to.

The birds love them!! No filler ingredients
Our birds go through these so quick! I always buy RSPB because I know I’m getting really high quality food that the birds eat all of. Some suet you buy from others, the birds will leave the ‘filler’ ingredients which makes it really messy when you have to clean all the feeders and catch trays. They leave nothing with this food! It’s also really handy that you can buy the refill bags for the tubs so that you are not wasting plastic.
