As you can see by the picture, the highest point I got in my test was 24.6mA, which is just barely shy of the 9V mark (25mA). This is well within the margin of error from my setup and should power something like a Sega genesis without much issue when used properly. It may introduce some minor noise, but that would be more likely due to using a power strip like I was in this test, hence the error margin. It fit my Genesis 1 NTSC machine just fine. Make sure to always plug directly into a wall outlet and not into a power strip for these older consoles to make sure you don't get image quality issues.

Works fine with both Sega Genesis 1 system, and the Sega Master System. This is half the size as the last power supply that I bought on here, and twice the weight. It seams to put out enough power to get the job done, and I don't see any snow or problems with games so far. I will likely order 4 more for the systems I'm selling as this is the cheapest one I've found that actually works. I'll test with more games and report back if there is any issues, but I think it will be fine. I will be looking into this brand if they make one for the Genesis 2, and get a few of these also.

Works for model 1601. Note though the cable is short around 40 inches. At first I plugged it into a power strip but I was getting scrolling lines on the game and then I remembered plugging directly into the wall is recommended. Once I plugged into the wall it was okay. I also found plugging into extension cord works good as well. This is important as the power adapter cable is much shorter than the original genesis power adapter.

I was looking for a Sega Genesis model 1 AC Adapter to work with my Famicom and stumbled on this adapter. Didn't see anyone specifically saying it would work with a Japanese Famicom but I gave it a shot. Outputs 9v as tested and 2000 mAh which is enough for the Famicom. Plugs in firm and not too loose. Powers on with no issues. Very happy with this!

This worked great for my first model Sega Genesis. It delivers 9V DC at 2.0A. It is a much smaller form factor than the original Sega OEM PSU, and no doubt has a lower power draw than the old original.Another benefit over the sega OEM PSU is that this will take 100-240AC input, so you can take your Genesis traveling if you were so inclined :)

It works but can give your video wavy images in the background due to interference. This problem may or may not be an issue for you, it all depends on type of tv and type of video cable being used. Over component I had very little trouble, over hdmi it was pretty nasty interference.
