We bought stools for our counter that came with wooden legs and rungs. We bought these plastic channels, easily cut them to the length of the rungs on our chairs (used a razor saw to make the cut), and they fit snugly over the wooden rungs. Protect the rungs from wear caused by shoes resting on them. Black plastic channels blend perfectly with the dark wood of our chairs.

Was able to cut to the size needed. They appear durable and have been working to protect the bar stools from any damage.

Saw 3/4” but is slightly smaller had to get screws to hold pieces in place. Plastic is durable.

So this product is very rigid. It’s easy to work with. Cuts nicely but what is your application? It fits perfectly over painted 3/4 plywood which is the size I used
