My bulb lights sucked that were on it and haven’t worked in 17 years. Took 20 mins to install them.

1156 and 1157 bulbs are the bane of utility and boat trailer owners ... do this upgrade once and be done for life! (Provided you don't back into the garage door frame.) I recommend running dedicated ground from plug to each fixture and not rely on frame. Also solder each joint, coat with liquid tape and then sheath in heat shrink tubing (remembering to slide a piece over the wires before soldering the joint!) Run the wires along the trailer frame inside plastic conduit to avoid snagging on brush and small animals.

Slots needed a little timing in order to install bolts .

Replaced a standard incandescent bulb set on my PWC trailer and this was a perfect fit . I used heat shrink waterproof butt connectors when I spliced the wiring with the old lights. There was no need to replace the entire harness, but this set includes it if you are wiring one for the first time. Super bright and completely waterproof. Great value and high quality.

This was a really easy installation on my Boston Whaler Sport 13 trailer. There is a metal lip on my trailer above the light and a tie down bracket to the side on my trailer. Thus, most lights will not work. These were the same size as the incandesccent lights that I replaced. The job was very easy.I used the lights. However, I used the harness that was already in place. I simply cut the old lights out and matched the colors on the new wires. I went to the local auto store and got some weatherproof crimp fittings to join the wires. I used a windproof lighter from the local store to heat the shrinkwrap once the wires were crimped together.

Easy to remove old lights and install new ones, after numerous boat launches this summer, there have been no leaks and the lights work as they should.

Five stars for the light fixtures, one star for the rest of the kit. Do yourself a favor, buy the lights individually and then invest in a few rolls of 16 ga. tinned marine wire, a good four pin plug, some crimp/heatshrink connectors and ring terminals and do the job right. The wiring harness is cheap, not worth the extra money over just buying the lights. The wire gage is significantly smaller than the OEM on my trailer. I know LED doesn't draw much but there is the issue of durability. The 25' harness did not fit on either side of the trailer for my 23' sailboat trailer. I ended up using the old wire and just splicing in the new four pin connector.

I found these lights to be a very good replacement for the old non led ones but a bit pricey compared to most other LED lamps. I was stuck as the 6 inch size is becoming hard to find.
