I BOUGHT THIS AS A GIFT FOR MY 5 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER FOR HER FIRST DANCE RECITAL !SHE WAS AMAZED AS WE FLIPPED THROUGH IT IN ALL DIFFERENT SPEEDS ! Every kid – and kid at heart - imagines inanimate objects coming to life. Fliptomania plays off this magical thinking with “Degas Dancer.” The flip features the sculpture “Little Dancer Aged Fourteen” by Edgar Degas, leaping off her pedestal and dancing her way into his painting, “L’Etoile (The Star).” Fliptomania’s best works challenge the viewer’s perspective through a 5-second process of transformation (statue comes alive) and reinvention (from statue to painting.)Pairing two artistic branches – sculpture and painting – within a third medium (flipbooks), makes this flip one of my favorites in their collection. What an interesting find!
This is such a unique, cool little book. My niece takes dance classes, so I know she will love it. I plan to include it in a dance themed gift bag.

Flipping brilliant!

The flip book was th size of a small matchbox I would not give that as a present Very disappointed I have other flip books which are twice the sizeIt is minute !!!!!!!:
