Melissa & Doug Safari Scissor Skills Activity Pad with Child-Safe Scissors – 20 Pages

We all want a pair of scissors that isn't steel for our little ones as they're learning. However, finding ones that don't fall apart or even cut proves difficult. Melissa & Doug's are a little difficult to use without some help with holding the paper, as they are 2 pieces of plastic; our kid still loves them and can use them without our help even. Highly recommend for those tiny, learning hands.

My son loves to play with scissors (naturally), but I've never REALLY been able to get him into coloring. Also about 100% positive he has ADHD (because I do), so neither of us has a great attention span. I can hardly get him to sit through coloring one page in a book, and the fact that this has everything already full color, but you can cut, tape, paste, etc and do "all the fun stuff" without laboring through coloring first and still turn out a nice colorful thing your kid is happy to put together and hang on the wall is freaking fantastic. First time with it he say down and we did like 4 pages. The scizzors aren't the greatest, but he already has a small assortment of scizzors and went to town with his little Fiskars on this. And thank you, Amazon, for reminding me we have this to do by asking me if I was ready to review this product. Like I said... Terrible attention span.

My child (and I) both love Melissa and Doug products. She went nuts for this and it's the second scissor skills book she's had by them. The patterns and games are fun, simple yet challenging and engaging. She requests it specifically, quite often.The only con, and the reason I gave this 4 stars rather than 5, is that the scissors are nearly impossible to use. They do not cut the paper in the workbook, or even regular printer paper without supreme effort, which is not ideal for a child learning to use scissors. To me, this was neglible, as we already have effective safety scissors and the workbook is still a great price whether the scissors work or not.

I ordered 2 of these for my kids. They love the activities and are quickly catching on to scissoring. The only reason i didnt give it a 5 is because one of the scissors is loose. You can feel the difference and it is harder to cut with the loose scissors the paper just bends often.

My 5-year-old is just learning how to manage with scissors, and this book has been a lot of fun for her. The activities start out very easy and progressively get harder. The sisters that come with it are the first I've ever seen without a metal blade. They're sharp enough to cut the paper but not the skin, pretty impressive.

My daughter loves this set. We keep it in the diaper bag for when we’re out and need an activity to keep her busy. It starts off with easy pages Nd gradually gets more complex, she really loves it!

Great value for the money. Love Melissa and Doug products.

Compré este álbum para mi nieta de 3 años, las tijeras cortan muy bien incluso otro tipo de papeles. Los dibujos son muy bonitos y las actividades están muy bien pero quizá mi nieta aún es muy pequeña para seguirlas. Le ha encantado cortar a su aire las hojas. He probado si las tijeras cortan el pelo por si se le ocurriera y no, no cortan el pelo!
