Danger Buddies USA-Made Wood Hangboards - The Ultimate Wooden Rock Climbing Hangboards/Fingerboards

Just arrived in the mail! I’ll be hanging it this afternoon however I couldn’t wait to write a review... This hangboard is awesome! The quality, fit and finish, and the handmade feel really make this thing special. Can’t wait to try it out..Update: Hung up perfectly with the supplied hardware, and just finished a little test workout. Let’s just say I’m glad this board has anchors to attach bands because I failed miserably with some of the grips haha. Buy this board!!

I wanted to upgrade my hangboard from plastic to wood to save my skin and originally wanted a beast maker because that's the standard at all the climbing gyms. After not wanting to deal with international shipping and expenses I landed on this and it's just as good if not better!Super sturdy board that's thoughtfully designed and when I had a question about whether or not I should use chalk I got a thoughtful, personal response in less than 3 MINUTES!Only small gripes are I think the phone holder shouldn't be used as looking up is really bad for your form while hanging and the wood screws are a torn head, feel like Phillips would have been better but I'm sure they have their reasons.Overall I know this is a board that will last me a lifetime and I'm willing to pay an extra couple bucks for a handmade in the USA original design as opposed to the Chinese clones of the beastmaker.

I have been climbing for a couple years now and decided to start hangboard training. There are so many options that it’s a little overwhelming. I ultimately decided to buy this one even though it’s a bit pricey because it has a good variety of pockets and holds, looks nice, and has anchors to allow for bands and clipping & anchor-building practice. It arrived in perfect condition and was easy to install. The Danger Buddies website also has suggested training routines.

The buddy plus is a good hangboard for advanced climber but could use a few changes to make it Great. I was looking for a hangboard with micros and this one is a great. The rounding on the micros make them comfortable to hold even at 7mm. the slopers are great as well. The complaint is the boards holds are all on the same level so when you are holding the upper 20mm edge your hands touch the lowers Crimps. If the holds were offset this would fix the problem quickly. The other complaint is the 40mm 3 finger pockets aren’t super useful if the were 4finger pockets you could at least do pull-ups on them but they are just too deep for 3 fingers and makes them not useful for hard training.

This is my first hangboard. I have never really been into hangboards, but the gym closures made me want to get one. I did my first hangboard routine today, and this product has plenty of depths/difficulty levels to work up to. The cell phone holder helped me keep accurate timing and is in a visible place during the hangs.Since this product is pretty new, you won't find it in the hangboard apps when selecting from a list of hangboards, at least not yet. It's not really a big deal to me, but just thought I'd mention it.Since I have been climbing only outdoors lately, I really liked the anchor points on this board so that I can practice more anchor building and also be able to teach friends anchor building and cleaning techniques. I do have to say that the bolts are the single most thing that made me buy this product, but overall the board is worth the price even if the bolts weren't one of the features.I am not able to hold on to the massive sloper, but this might be due to installing the board on a pullup bar and is probably adding a slightly bigger angle. I don't really notice any additional slope, but maybe I'll just need to work up to it.

I am obsessed with this It is kind to the hands (the wood feels so nice!!) and has all kind of different holds for all abilities. Highly recommend and 10/10 would buy again.

The three main things am happy with but what I have that I may super impressed with is the hooks at the bottom so you can add elastic band to make it easy to hang a really nice touch

Goes very well above any door.
