Was hesitant buying a rod from desertcart for obvious reasons but I was absolutely shocked to see it packaged exactly how rods come from tackle warehouse and hookup tackle. Big rod tube, entire good plastic wrapped and stapled to the outside of the tube so the rod can't roll around inside, and the handle + guides + reel seat all wrapped in bubble wrap/tape.. zero defects on the rod itself, guides and inserts were perfect and straight..not a scratch! HUGE relief! Surprised at how light it feels for a heavier rod and that's thanks to Gary Dobyns always counter balancing his rods ! Only reason I considered this one over a okuma guide select or a champ XP795sb was the price! These fury swimbait rods have always been 159$ MSRP everywhere except during sales. So to snag this at 119.99$ was a steal! Dobyn's Fury line in general is solid, especially for the price. *by S***E on December 8, 2016* It's a great swimbait rod for $120 bucks. Handles anything from 2 to about 4 oz without issue. I don't own any 5 to 6 oz swimbaits to test this rod's limits, but if you throw 6 to 8 inch baits like me, this is a solid rod.
