Good overall but thin walled plastic. Was hoping for something heavier, but it should do the trick.

I liked the price and the utility of this J box . I did not like the plastic screws !

I used this junction box to house the controls for my VFD drill press! It's made from heavy duty plastic and can be easily machined as well. A great value for the price!

No problem with delivery.Shipped/received on time and in good condition.Mounting: It would be nice if there were side tabs for mounting or at the very least a drill template included. I found it a bit tricky to mark the hole locations through the very deep screw pockets. For me personally, I made it work, but I'm a fairly handy guy with decades of experience. I suspect that someone with less developed "improvisational engineering" skills would give up and just ruin the waterproof rating by drilling out the back wall.Mounting (continued): As I was mounting the box to a cinderblock wall, it would be nice if the mounting holes accepted a larger screw size. Every electrician I know carries a box of 1/4" Red Plastic anchors. Again, I made it work, but it took an interesting combination of anchors. to accommodate the much smaller mounting screws. I suppose I could/should have gone to the hardware store to buy a smaller anchor kit, but I was running out of daylight.Lid 'Hardware': I was a little disappointed with the plastic 'captive' screws because (1) they are not truly 'captive' (i.e.: they easily fell out of the lid several times) and (2) it felt like I could easily strip the threads and/or the heads if I wasn't very careful. To that second point... I was also pleasantly surprised to find a set of replacement set of screws enclosed - they're obviously aware that this is a potential problem.Bottom line: It was the right size at the right price point and it got the job done. I would probably buy again, but not until I did a bit more research into other options.

It's an ok box but the plastic is brittle. I was popping the cover off to install a switch panel on it and it broke with little effort. But what u expect for this price.

Bought this and a regular one from the supply house.. This is obviously thinner and cheaper then the UL approved electrical box but for hobbies and other stuff it's perfect.

This was the best deal I could find for a larger outdoor junction box. I am using this to hold a cable that will be used in the future. This cable was run prior to finish work so access to it from inside is limited.This comes out of the wall and enters this box and is coiled up nicely. I had to drill a hole in the bottom to accommodate the cable. The cable was put into a fitting and sealed off the opening.I then mounted this to a post next to the structure.This included 2 sets of plastic screws to secure the door. One in the door and another set inside, in case you drop or lose some.

Hice una primera compra de esta caja (1 caja) para una instalación en casa. Muy resistente y buena calidad. Decidí hacer una segunda compra (3 cajas), con un resultado totalmente opuesto y terrible. Dice en la página que es importación pero sin cargo de importación, pero al finalizar la compra ¡sorpresa! te cobran (reservan) gastos de aranceles. Y luego, me envían 1 pieza correcta (medidas, color, etc) y dos blancas del doble de tamaño y más delgadas. ¿Error? No creo. Entonces, salió más caro y no es el producto que solicité.Obviamente reclamé el tema de los gastos de importación y la respuesta de Amazon fue “lo sentimos” , así lo hace el sistema automáticamente, pero ya notificamos al vendedor (que aparentemente se enojó al grado de enviarme otro producto para que aprenda a no reclamar, imagino).Si tienes suerte de que te envíen el producto correcto al precio correcto, es una buena caja.
