Name is not exactly truthful
Swelter is a bit of a reach with these gloves. To be honest I can't feel a lot of difference between these and my "summer" riding gloves. If these are actually supposed to be cold weather gloves they're not that warm; I mean they have perforations in the palm for some insane reason. That being said, I do like these gloves and they're comfortable. I wear a thin pair under them and that helps a lot. I ride in temps down to 15-20 degrees in Michigan winter and I refuse to wear bike mittens, or whatever they're called so Im always looking for decently warm gloves to ride in that i can still operate a shifter and dropper post...I would say these are good for anything above 40, which is realistically probably what they're geared towards, but I still can't understand the perforated (holes) palm. They're good gloves but the name is quite misleading.

New Englander Review
Bought these to try instead of my usual leathers. I live in New England and try to ride as much of the year as I can and finding gloves that can stand the cold+wind chill without being heated or gauntlets is pretty tough. When I first received these I was worried because of how thin they are. How can a glove that's so thin live up to a name like swelter? Well took them on a couple night rides, resting temp around 35°F (you can figure wind-chill out) @60+ mph, and they held up to the name. Not sweltering hot, but definitely kept my finger tips warm and palms dry. They breathe really well and look great. Recommend to all.

Worthless....
After more money than i care to mention, it seems that no one makes a good midweight cold weather motorcycle glove that isnt leather. Online, these looked so promising but as soon as i got them, i was immediately disappointed. These claim 3 layer fabric and fleece lined and i even saw a review from someone claiming they live in new england and rode comfortably in 35 degree Fahrenheit weather. Without a doubt 35 degrees would be horrible in these gloves. There is no fleece lining. Some parts of the inside of the glove is fuzzy. Definitely not fleece lined. The palm of the glove is legitimately thinner than my fly racing mx gloves and its even perforated. Why on earth would you perforate "cold weather" gloves. The entire glove is thin as can be. They are thinner than any pair of motocross gloves i have and if youve ever seen motocross gloves, they are the thinnest gloves possible so you can have full dexterity. The only thing i will say is that the medium fits true to size and they are comfortable but who cares? Whats the point of these gloves? Its not cold weather and they are like 20 dollars more than a pair of mx gloves. I couldnt be more dissatisfied. Im so dissatisfied that im sending them back and emailing troy lee designs.

Not a winter glove at all
I bought a pair of troy lee swelter gloves and was so disappointed. These gloves are not even remotely warm. My hands were cold in 50 degree weather at a steady 50-55 mph. Besides that they are so so thin and even though they claim to have a fleece lining, have absolutely no lining whatsoever. Honestly these gloves are not just a disappointment but troy lee is a disappointment for making huge false claims about gloves that are really just glorified motocross gloves.
