Very well made but it's flat bottomed. They do a round bottom called 'induction' for whatever reason? Almost kept this cause it's such high quality (very heavy) but pleased I swooped it. The more traditional, thinner, wooden handled woks require commerical hobs to maintain heat? This is the one you want

The De Buyer quality is undeniably outstanding.This wok heats up so fast on my induction hob that I need to keep an eye on it when on high power, but it cooks beautifully stir fries wit hall types of protein.It came pre-seasoned and to clean and oil is not such a big deal as one may think. I store it well dry with a piece of good kitchen paper on its cooking surface, so that I can stack my other de buyer pans on it.It is heavier than a conventional wok but feels so solid and the materials are much safer than any cheap wok on the market, which for me is paramount.

Really like it great to cook with

I have a few De Buyer cookwares and am very disappointed in this wok as it has some serious design fault. I am very surprised that such a reputable De Buyer brand will release such a faulty product. It cooks well but the handle is too heavy for the wok and there isn’t a handle or grip on the other side to balance it so the wok simply will not sit properly and keep falling on the handle side. It is really annoying as I just cannot cook the food properly. Right now I am looking to buy a gas ring for wok to sit on and try it out.

Non-stick & easy to clean. Size is good. I will continue to buy other De Buyer pans

Love De Buyer products . They are heavy beasts , but amazing at getting a really good heat distribution, and if you are patient with getting a good seasoning on these pans (please don't give up with that. It will be worth it ) they are a joy to cook with. If you love tossing food in your wok ,I don't think one is for you, unless you have some really big muscles .
