Jonathan Little's Excelling at No-Limit Hold'em

85% ROI & 35% cash in three months
Some awesome content in this book - and the value goes beyond what's between the covers. Top notch authors (some of the best players and/ or writers in the world), info on where to find more content online which includes webinars, video content, coaching from the authors themselves, and a free very nifty bonus chapter on how to play ranges heads up 25BB or less - which just on its own is worth the purchase for anyone looking to dominate in the last leg of the race. As a poker player I am sure you will agree that it is really great to get your hands on content that is current. Jonathan always releases the best finger on the pulse poker content and this book is no different. Players of all levels will find something useful wether you are just starting out, wanting to play more exploitatively or trying to crush your opponents with GTO.I have been playing since January this year and about three months ago I came across Jonathan's books. I have read most of them and my game has really benefited. My ROI for live play is sitting at 85% with a 35% cash - those are good numbers. I also came 9th in The Swazi Millions, Africa's biggest tournament outside of WPT - my first live tournament. I read two of Jonathan's tournament books after busting on day 1 - when I reloaded on day 2, I was prepared for what was coming. In order to be a winning player you need to be studying at least 10 hours per week - it can be tough finding sites, content and coaches online. This book will help me stay on top of my A game long after I have finished reading it thanks to the additional resources it offers. Shuffle up and deal!

if you want to excell in no limit, buy this book
Another winner from Jonathan. I was surprised by some of the other players styles and thought as i read this book for the 1st time but as i thought things over and slowly added some of there process i noticed a quick change to my game and stack size. One thing is a have slowed dowm my game having come more deliberate in my thinking of my current move and next moves. I have heard others in my game complain about my slowing down my game but more about my stacking there chips. i have already started to read this book a 2nd time as i make more subtle changes to my game going forward. I did love the chapter about the differences between the old and new styles. As Phil Hellmuth and Liv Boeree go over hand and how each would play was great way to see this different style but you can see how each works. My favorite chapter was the one with Chris Moneymaker and the difference of play between the different buy in and levels of play. Having played mostly in the lower level this chapter shows me how i will need to adjust my game as i suspected i would as i start to move to the newer levels and i has also confirmed some of my thought on why some things i do don't quite would at the local games. As i prepair for next year playing circuit event and in the wsop next year i will be much better prepared than other who go the 1st time around.

Valuable Book on No-Limit Hold'Em♥️♠️♦️♣️
This is an excellent book on No-Limit Hold'Em! There's a ton of useful information, and despite a few grammatical errors, this is a clear and enlightening read (unlike some really dry poker books). It's broken up into separate chapters that explain various aspects of the game by different poker experts. The three main sections are: POKER STRATEGY, THE TECHNICAL GAME and THE MENTAL GAME, with an introduction and conclusion by Jonathan Little, whose wisdom and experience I greatly value. This book is a wonderful tool for both amateur tournament and cash game players, like myself. If you're hungry to improve your understanding of the game and to expand on your current knowledge, this is one of the best poker books out there. It's organized and written so well that you'll just breeze through it and gain extremely valuable information along the way. Keep a highlighter handy, and good luck at the tables! Happy reading and grinding!

Great book!
This book is a fine collection of topics from top players across the poker circuit. It is a not a beginners book, and you must be a competent player to understand parts of the book. Several chapters were outstanding, a few not so much. Moneymaker and Miller's chapters are straightforward and I highlighted several sections to reread, as well as other sections in the poker strategy first part of the book. The 2nd part, the technical game was probably the best sections as Fitzgerald, Hellmuth,Boeree, Little, and Busquet hit a home run explain numerous hands and aspects of the game at the upper levels of tournaments. Tipton, goes into a optimal strategies and is very confusing overall. The mental game section as the last part of the book is a great overall talk on mental prep., getting rid tilt, and hypnotherapy. I only had a tilt issue early on, and this confirmed my approach to all tournaments as Little always says, If your ahead most of the time getting your money in good, you will eventually come out ahead in the war, maybe not in the immediate battle. I highly recommend this book, especially if you plan on moving up to bigger events, a great perspective from some of the pro's playing poker.

Not for beginners
If you are intermediate or advanced, this is likely an excellent book for you.If you are a beginner, steer clear. Many terms are not defined. One I looked up on Google was for "Street".Street is a term used in Stud, not Holdem. So I'm unclear about that.An example of "Pot equity" shows cards and what they are as far as equity, but doesn't show how to future it out.I like Johnathan Little. His YouTube channel is great. So this review is mainly a reflection of me and my level of understanding.Still, I wish it was more accessible to beginners.Too much is assumed to be known about poker.Moving on...

Highly valuable contents - dirt-cheap
A recent comment on Jonathan Little's twitter account made me laugh out loud so hard while sitting in a café in Barcelona, pondering some hands I had played in my latest tournament. In that comment, some guy asked Jonathan for a free copy of this book. It's one thing that someone who plays poker for money asks for a free book (it's just LOL). What makes this even more absurd, though, is the fact that this book is just ridiculously good value for money.Jonathan has brought together lots of different poker players, coming from all kinds of different backgrounds and writing in all kinds of different styles. So, we get condensed info by top professionals on a variety of topics, all in one book. Normally, one would have to buy about ten books to get the info and insights we get here - and pay at least ten times its price. Actually, my favourite chapter alone is worth at least ten times the price of the whole book - or maybe even a hundred times?! On a philosophical note: When people like Jonathan and other wonderful world class players generously share their experience and wisdom with people, the "price" is always way too low because what they give us is in fact absolutely invaluable, if taken in and used well.To conclude: The special beauty of this book lies in its variety and the high quality contributors. There's guaranteed to be something for everyone in it that makes their minds spin and inspires them. I haven't finished it yet (it's 500 pages) because some of the contributions are so dense that "just reading" won't do them justice. I've already spent countless hours on my favourite chapter (cf. page 280. I think I'm in love. What a mind, what a generous person! Alas, he seems to have a girlfriend already...) and I'm looking forward to finding more precious contents in this jewel box.

Excellent book, probably the most up to date and ...
Excellent book, probably the most up to date and in-depth book written since the Harrington on hold'em series.A very detailed book in every way and a must for any poker player taking poker seriously and wanting to make money at poker.Mainly aimed at tournament play and on-line poker but easily transferable with top contributors from the world of poker...excellent.

Great Book with Perfect Examples
Great book to further poker knowledge. Really like the hand examples to give really great examples of the theories they are discussing. Like the fact it is multi authors too so the reader is getting lots of different strategies and opinions.
