Revell Monogram 1929 Ford Rat Rod 3'n1 1/25 Scale Plastic Model Car Kit

Got for my husband for Christmas. He's working on it as we speak and he really likes it. Says the instructions can get confusing but he's enjoying building it.

The main thing that stops me from giving this model five stars is the large number of very small pieces and the way they made the hinges so difficult to deal with. It is a good build, but you need a fair amount of modeling experience and patience to make this one come out right. The parts were mostly clean with very little flash but overall seemed of a flimsier plastic than other models I have built. The instructions are concise and easy enough to read but can be a little confusing when deciding which version to build. I used a combination of custom and stock parts for this build. I would certainly recommend getting the parts as clean as possible (No flash or mold lines) before painting and fitting. This will save you some headache later. A good build with lots of options. I am happy with this model.

Poor quality parts. Pre-painted shiny parts are impossible to put together with the regular plastic kit glue, they do not bond because of the paint. Numbering of parts is very hard to read. Overall just low quality. Half way through trying to build it I gave up and put it in trash. (I have built many Revell models in the past)

The rat rod is smaller in size than you might expect and the suspension consists of extremely tiny pieces that require a magnifying glass to assemble if you manage to remove them without breaking

The kit includes a lot of extra parts. Such as wheels and tires, and two kinds of cabs. The kit only has one engine though, a flathead flour of some kind. The doors open on the cabs. Colorful decals are included, even one for the pickup truck bed to represent the wood and metal strips.

Have not built the kit yet but have been through the kit and instructions looks like a great kit lots of options and great selection of decals.

Bought two of these to make the waltons tv series truck.. Lots of small fragile pieces, you need to be very careful when removing them from the tree. Lots of building options also. Only thing, it comes just with the flathead engine, no other engine option.
