RCBS DIES ARE ONE OF THE BEST IF NOT BEST ON THE MARKET. THE QUALITY IS TOP NOTCH AND THEY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALSO TOP NOTCH. WE ONLY USE RCBS DIES, THEY ARE FAR BETTER THAN MANY OTHERS, INCLUDING HORNADY.AGAIN THEIR QUALITY AND MACHINING IS ABSOLUTELY TOP QUALITY AND THEY ALSO COME IN A NICE BOX.

Awesome Products and outstanding Customer Service. If you reload as a hobby of business then RCBS is the Brand to get. Their products are great and something you can count on. I have been reloading for over 30 years and still have and use many of their dies that I started with. I have only had a couple of issues with their products during that time and they fixed the issues at no charge both times. Great quality products and outstanding customer service.

There are cheaper dies out there, but there are none that provide a better value. RCBS provides a real no-BS warranty, and will cover smashed decapping assemblies and other broken die parts. They blow most other warranties out of the water.

As usual, the machine work looks as great.I do feel that the resizing die is excessively resizing the case necks. The OD is .3175 after resizing. The Hornady Custom Grade 30-30 die resizes case necks to .3205 - .030 less - and that is more than sufficient. Sizing the neck down that far causes unnecessary stress on the brass and makes extracting the resizing ball (literally) a grating experience. I prefer minimal resizing to avoid cracking. I have no way to know if they intended this or if it is manufacturing error. They stopped answering their phone and email about ten days ago so I can't ask them.I have reloaded rifle calibers with RCBS dies for many years, but always with tapered base bullets. When loading with flat base bullets, the norm for 30-30, it requires an awkward balancing act to keep the bullet on the case rim until it enters the seating die. They keep tipping over in the case mouth or just falling on the floor. I don't like having to keep my fingers in the press until the bullet enters the seating die. It really slows me down and it risks a nasty pinch. I can't fault RCBS for this, it is inherent with flat bottomed bullets and this style die. It just means their dies may not be the best ones for this particular job.I've found that the Hornady dies with their inline bullet seating system allow me to significantly reduce the pinching hazard and speed up the reloading process.I really like RCBS products and have never before found any significant fault with them. I have just never loaded flat bottom rifle bullets before and seem to have found the one thing they aren't the best at doing.

The best there is RCBS are the best dies the strongest and the accuracy and user friendly lifetime warranty for the value in the money

30-30 is a little bit different because the shoulder of the case is not as sharp as others. One I got the dies set up correctly I started knocking out a few dozen rounds. I’m just using some 170gn FN for practice and they are turning out great.

I've been reloading for years and RCBS is my first choice. I have a few sets of match or competition die sets for some cartridges, but RCBS makes the best standard die sets that last long and are easy to set up and use. This 30-30 die set is no exception. Once I got the headspace adjusted I was pumping out very consistent rounds with minimal runout.
