ERPERPP5 Air Conditioner Hard Start

My LG LW1516ER 15000 BTU window air conditioner seemed to have problems with the compressor not wanting to start sometimes, in fact, most of the time. Its a fairly new unit, but out of warranty. Still very clean as new, but just didn't seem to have enough power to kick on the compressor. The light in my living room table lamp would dim a little every time the compressor tried to kick on. The a/c fan and all the front control buttons worked fine. I even replaced the original capacitor with a new one, but still didn't quite have that little extra power it needed to kick on the compressor. Then I thought about this hard start capacitor. I watched a lot of YouTube videos about hard start capacitors, but almost every single video posted was for central AC units. Well, after a little more research I thought my big window unit and the problem I'm experiencing should be a good candidate for this hard start. I bought it and installed it in less than 10 minutes. Then I crossed my fingers and turned on the unit. BINGO! Problem solved and it works wonderfully. So pleased with this product and its so easy to install.
