Easy installation and look great

I had a '14 Rubicon X and had installed the previous series (8700 Evolution) lights. I have a new '15 Wrangler Sport. In 2 years, JW Speaker has greatly improved their products. I purchased both the 8700 J-Series headlights and the 279 J Tail Lights. Super! Not only do both look good, they provide great brightness at night. Tail light install took about 15 minutes. You do need a small Phillips screwdriver and a pair of pliers to install the resistor nuts and bolts. I also needed a small flat screwdriver to get the tight fitting clips onto the resistor brackets. The directions leave out one small step to assure the lights seat properly on the back of your Wrangler. There are plastic "clips" on the light housing that need to slide under the metal body opening BEFORE you replace the factory screws. If you aren't careful and don't slide them under the opening, the lights will not seat properly and have a firm seal. Pricey, but as others have said, you get what you pay for. Great looking lights that keep you safe at night.

I had bought a cheaper pair of tail lights for my Jeep, which I ended up having to return. The cheaper pair had an issue with the right side running light coming on intermittently in under a month, so I returned them and decided to go with the higher price, J.W. Speaker. Best decision yet! So far I love how these light up in the dark. These are so much brighter than stock and even the cheaper pair of LED that I bought before. Now granted it took a little longer installing these than the cheaper ones because of the resistor but is still plug-n-play. The only downside to these lights would have to be the backup lights. The backup lights are somewhat bright, but I think if J.W. Speaker just went with clear plexiglass instead of the blocky type on the bottom, I think they would be fine. Overall I love the look and just make sure to look before backing up in the dark. Posting photos here soon.

These tail lights are absolutely top notch. They include everything you need to install them including the resistor. The thing that sold me on the kit was the bracket for mounting the resistor. I've seen people mount their own and they end up burning their wiring because of the heat from the resistor. The lights themselves have a very very nice finish. The black plastic looks like the other black plastic pieces on the vehicle. Pros: -HIGH QUALITY -Every screw and mount is included -Plug and play -Super easy install -They are very bright over the stock tail lights and the reverse light has a slightly wider beam making it easier to back around turns at night Cons: -they are slightly smaller than the stock ones so I can see the marks from where the OEM ones were. But don't let that scare you fitment is still great Fitment: 8/10 Quality: 9/10 Installation: 9/10 Included hardware: 10/10 Update: After a year these lights are still holding up perfect my review remains the same!

This product is definitely worth the price you pay. Definitely brighter then the stock lights. They are easy to install just plug and play. I have a 2015 JK unlimited and they fit perfect if not better then stock. No there isn’t any instructions but the installation is simple. If you have a hard time installing them just do a little research such as YouTube and you will be just fine. I highly recommend.

This is my 2nd set of JW Speaker 279 tail lights. The first set the right one failed to light up properly 50% of the time. I went to call JW but their website said simply return it to the origin of purchase (Amazon). Amazon took it back per their policy. 1 - Hyperflashing. If your JK is from 2012 or older you may have hyperflashing (of which JW doesn't warranty against). I found that between the defective set and this set, JW must have QA problem because the value of the resistor may not be up to spec on all units causing hyper flashing (which is totally annoying). JW should design these so you could also add more resistance as needed. 2 - Water - Even though these are "sealed", there is a gap on the edge of each unit allowing water to get in. It rained hard and when I went to replace my unit, I found one to have quite a bit of water in it. 3 - Brightness - Very bright. Will leave you with spots if you look at them too long in broad daylight. It will be bright enough to make any texting millennial see that you are slowing to a stop. 4 - Looks - Top notch, makes your JK look even more cool.

I resisted buying these tail lights at first because of the price. However - After trying a less expensive, different brand tail light that came with no instructions and never worked correctly (even after trying to re-wire them) I caved in and bought the JW Speaker tail lights. Really glad I did. Made in the good old USA and quite a bit more sturdy that a Chinese made look a like. Worked perfectly right out of the box. Came with resistors (to prevent rapid flashing) already wired in. Plug and play, only modification I had to do was get slightly longer stainless steel screws so I could put the factory chrome brush guards back on the tail lights. Would definitely buy them again.

Best led taillights for the Wrangler jk on the market. Love the Look and fit.

I was originally worried to purchase the tail lights due to comments stating they had gotten third party lights, however I did receive the JW Speakers. The lights look and work great! Took about 30 minutes to install (lots of videos available on youtube). After ordering the lights arrived at my house in 3 days (with regular shipping selected). Very happy.

Look better in person than the pics. Obvious high quality product, easy install and fit was (near) perfect. Very happy! Adds a little extra something to JK's rear.

Easy to install and look FANTASTIC!. If you are using the Euro-guards though, you will not be able to use the outside screws. In other words, you need to mount the guards using only the 2 inside screws
